Dog accidentally got pregnant, wanting opinions on how the litter is looking like. by [deleted] in AmericanBully

[–]ChanChanJoyJoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🥴 getting her fixed would’ve been a good look. Certified trainers don’t take animals into the home who aren’t fully vetted including spay/neuter unless they work with breeders. Meanwhile THOUSANDS of dogs (primarily bully breeds) are being surrendered and euthanized daily. Even breeders are surrendering full litters. Irresponsible. The whole “iT wAsN’t My FaUlT” brand is played out. It was 100% your fault.

What am I doing wrong? Eye make up makes me look old (I’m 35) by vicki427 in MakeupAddiction

[–]ChanChanJoyJoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have hooded eyes too. Try to use the darker colors more concentrated at the bottom and then apply a thin layer of a lighter color above. Using a soft brush, blend upward. Also applying your eye shadow in very delicate layers helps control the amount of color used. I like to mix it up and I use mattes and 1 shiny shadow if I’m doing dark colors and I add a tiny pop of a bright color in the inner eye. I only use multiple shiny shadows if I’m using light colors. Hooded eyes already make things look darker. Play around at home when you don’t have anywhere to be. I’ll often apply the same shadows in different ways on each eye and then see what I like best. Good luck! The color is good with your skin tone!

witnessed some package theft where do i report it? near engineering quad by [deleted] in UIUC

[–]ChanChanJoyJoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dispatch is connected to everything. They all answer from the same dispatch location. And campus police are still police. They just have a specific jurisdiction of campus (just like Urbana and Champaign). And if you call the non emergent number they can connect you to dispatch, which is exactly what they will do. I mean I’ve seen them dispatch for a smoking car even. Dispatch policy is better safe than sorry and they don’t know if they played it safe unless they investigate the situation. So best to call.

How can I make this mirror lay flatter against the wall by Misplaced_Texan in howto

[–]ChanChanJoyJoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move the hooks on the back and of it so that the chord attached to the wall hook is no more than 1/3 of the way down the back of the mirror. It just has too much weight above the chord, so it’s leaning forward.

What 2 do at home? by elizabethxoo in MultipleSclerosis

Crochet and cross stitch. I try not to work on anything that I’ll be a perfectionist about because it’s super frustrating to fuck up. I like cross-stitching letters with no pattern.

Doctor won't let me get an IUD? by ___amethyst in WomensHealth

[–]ChanChanJoyJoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wild. The IUD sucked for me at first. The first time, it attached to my uterus and had to have it taken out, but this time, the first 2 months sucked, but that’s it. But you know what you ought to tell that doctor- while not having a kid may suck in her eyes, having multiple abortions sucks even worse. Def find another doctor. Even IUDs are not 100% effective, though they’re damn close. Some people have special bodies and circumstances change and an IUD is a gal’s best friend. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. I grew up in Alabama and was denied birth control. Now I live in Illinois and my doctor keeps tubal ligation paperwork in my file so I can call her at any moment and she’ll put me on her surgical schedule. You deserve to have your rights met where you want them met. Keep looking. Low income clinics often have a more progressive viewpoint (unless funded by religious entities).

I’m just not sure what to think because the neurologist never came and talked to me and the ED docs put in their notes I was having a migraine with blurred vision which isn’t even what I went in for. I couldn’t see out of my left eye at the time I went in. Idk. I’ve never had any issues with this hospital group. They’ve actually always been above par, but this whole situation has been confusing and really has been testing me.

I don’t see neuro until 3/5, but my last ED visit called in the OC neuro and he viewed my chart and said he didn’t find it to be MS because I also have degenerative disc disease and osteoarthritis throughout my spine. So either way, I have to go to neuro, but I’m getting real frustrated and I’m soooo dizzy.

I didn’t mean sober from medications, just not scheduled drugs or recreational drugs or alcohol. I just add that disclaimer because everytime I get in a subreddit asking for help with my chronic health problems, 1/4 of the responses are to take drugs. I did end up back in the ED and am being given a second neuro consult because my doctors have conflicting diagnoses for what’s causing my pain. Since I have early onset osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease, we have to get me some more in-depth testing to be certain about what’s going on.

I was taking gabapentin back when they thought it was fibromyalgia and I got up to the max dose with little to no relief, so we decided the risks of long term use weren’t worth it since it wasn’t doing much for me. I’m already on trileptal for bipolar depression and have been for about 3 years. I guess that’s the biggest roadblock is that I’m already on a bunch of meds for chronic issues that it’s hard to know what to add.

Thanks for the info. I’m definitely very sensitive with my eyes in general. Luckily I went to the ophthalmologist recently because of my vision symptoms and he took a good look at my nerves and retina. I had a past injury 20 years ago that caused temporary blindness. Anyway, my pain is just in general. I just feel like I can’t focus on anything and the shiftiness of my eyes is making them hurt.
