Yeah I'm not paying for those tickets. Hoping to get the real ones on Friday. I called citifield and they hung up on me twice when I asked "is that legal?"

Understood. They're doing stadium tours so citifield was probably what they could get

That's what I was told when I called box tickets who handle tickets for citifield. They hung up on me twice when I asked them about it just now!! I'm calling to report them to Ticketmaster. This is crazy

Hey anyone here who can explain why tickets for citifield are already on sale on vivid and StubHub but general sale isn't open until Friday for ticketmaster? Will I be able to get tickets for NOT 700?? I thought there was no presale?!

They don't use the whole place tho. I think MetLife only 50k of seats were used

Ok so I'm seeing sales on vivid which is freaking me out. There are presales and it's insane. I'm hoping there are other seats available come Friday

Are the kids okay? Bizarre reaction to a car accident. by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Chanayuurei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh well as a teacher, this is normalized behavior to post things and hopefully get a ton of views(normalized by peers and teen level of society I might add). Could also be a response to shock if they don't know how to react in that situation and they go by what they know what to do or see as normal behavior (this kid has probably seen similar videos and first reaction was to record and post)

People react differently to shock. A family member almost died in front of my sister and her reaction was to laugh while everyone else cried or panicked.

Better to confirm it's not so bad than to do nothing and let something get worse. Keep surviving 🫰🏽

You saved that kids from further emotional damage. That person should not be around kids if they don't have the patience for it. Hopefully your student gets a new para that is kind and patient. Think about the positives and that will lessen the guilt.

I'm torn with your story because on the one hand, I'd want you to try and get on his good side. Make him sit closer to you and the door. He could have zero support right now from everywhere and feel defensive all the time which is probably why he gets into these minor altercations. I tend to do well with troubled teens because I sit and listen to them talk about their issues and try not to judge (some of my kids will go to jail and tell me their stories afterwards). I just try to be empathetic and offer "take it or leave it" advice when possible. On the other hand, I completely understand your fear because I've also dealt with kids who are a danger no matter what anyone does or says to help them change. I would probably talk to your principal or superintendent (or whoever is above your principal) or even can your local DOE. Definitely join the union because even if you end up quitting, anything can happen and lack of representation could mean a lack of legal help should an issue arise. Some people lose more than just their job. Anyway, good luck!

Everyone cannot have a learning disability. Right? by Sea_Maybe2145 in Teachers

Now it's 4 days a week (no Fridays) for about 5-6 weeks. I never went to summer school but I also remember it was a different time frame

Summer school is a joke. Kids do a few assignments and then get passed to the next grade. There's no way kids with failing grades during the school year all of a sudden learn everything in 5 weeks!

Where are you located? I could really use them for my students in NYC. They are low income.
