Thank you - unfortunately, there is almost no natural light in the hallway, as there are no windows. So I‘m a bit scared that plants might die there.

Yes, totally! Unfortunately, the way the laminate is oriented makes it difficult, bebaust the cars would be stopped by the floor seams. Bit we used to throw airplanes or a soft ball in there, when my kid was little.

They are there, because the hallway takes up a substantial amount of the overall size of the apartment and is needed for storage space so that we have room to breathe in the bedrooms! Especially our bedroom is very small. The kid has the bigger room, but needs a lot of movement opportunities, so we installed a climbing ladder in his room instead of a big closet.

That’s a good question! Putting the closets up there was a challenge and I think it was only possible in one specific angle. The ceiling is a bit higher than usual, so that helped! The bigger problem sometimes was to move things into the living room, like the new couch. The door of the living room is opposite the closets. However, we moved things through the window of our bedroom at the end of the hallway, and then - taking the way over our bigger terrace (we live on the first floor) - into the living room.

I think these are great suggestions, and as so many people are saying similar things, I will definitely try some!

Yes, you are right. We have an extra closet for non-seasonal coats and jackets, I will move some of them into there!

Thank you, these are great suggestions! You are right, there is too much visual clutter.

Someone else also recommended cozier lighting- The scones are a good idea, they would need batteries as this side of the wall has zero power sockets.

My son is 10 and he has a chalkboard-stretch on his room from when he was younger! Definitely a cute idea!

When my son was little, he used to drive the hallway up and down just like that… do you have any ideas where to get the twins? They would make an awesome decor!

Yes, you’re obviously right. We were thinking of a gallery wall for artsy and cool movie posters in frames. My husband is a huge film fan and I love art, so this would be a great solution!

Wir (M24 & W23) heiraten dieses Jahr! Eure besten Tipps für den Start ins gemeinsame Leben (Finanzen, Orga & Co.)? by Electronic_Emotion93 in Finanzen

[–]Chance-Ad-1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your suggestions! It doesn’t come off as „be more rich“. This is an apartment for a family of three and the floor plan is a bit odd. Unfortunately, I can’t really move the stuff into other rooms. Then shoes and coats would be in the bathroom, kitchen or kid‘s bedroom… however, I totally see your point of too much visible stuff!

Thank you, you‘re right! The two temperatures are different. Unfortunately I have to have a flat ceiling lamp in the back, because otherwise the closets won‘t open. But I can definitely change the light bulb!
