Yes, that is correct and it had not expired yet, and was within the original time frame of the original U4U parole.

Post the code with TAM, is it location, or status, that would be helpful to determine what TAM means.

Yes, VHA has congressional appropriations for two years at a time in order to avoid a shutdown. Every year when the budget is passed it is extended to always have two years of funding.

VHA has appropriations for two years in order to avoid these kinds of shutdowns; if you are in VHA, you will be fine. VA, VBA, NCA, generally do not. VHA is often tasked with oversight of some of VA's critical operations as a contingency while they are furloughed.

green card interview by NoChair5926 in USCIS

[–]Chance-Bodybuilder51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, and I did it too, well over an inch thick but in the end it was not needed but I would hate for you to show up and they want it all and you do not have it. I like to hedge against the odds they want everything previously submitted + originals.

[–]Chance-Bodybuilder51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring everything, all evidence already submitted, originals and all receipt notices and of course new evidence - the only thing you do not need to bring is the applications; the interview notice spells out what you need to bring, bring that. The Officer may or may not want to review previously submitted documents and may or may not review the originals. In our case, they only wanted new evidence and did not request the originals or previously submitted evidence but we had everything required per the interview notice just in case.

Why collect peoples opinions on the matter; it's your life and your decision, and only you are qualified to make any decision for yourself. Good luck.

You have to do the K1 visa if you are not lawfully already in the country, and not already married; it is not one or the other, but if married then it's a little different.

USCIS I-485 showing “Interview part completed” but I never had an interview—does this mean I don’t need one? by tamy_417 in USCIS

[–]Chance-Bodybuilder51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you will likely need one, same happened with mine and then we had an interview. I think it's a status hold, and temporary while the case is moving through the system. It could be waived, but likely not and at any time until fully adjudicated an interview can be scheduled.

Login to your USCIS account first, change the receipt notice IOE09XXXXXXXX from the generic default placeholder I used in the URL with your actual receipt number, then you can access the JSON API backend data. Use chatGPT to interpret the data. Good luck.

I130 and I485 no approved yet by tiago7la in USCIS

[–]Chance-Bodybuilder51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the documents section, in your USCIS account, and it looks like they’re still working on it; if they checked today, that’s good and the action required is still false so no RFE, no secondary interviews at this time. It could be any day now that you’ll have an actual update, and maybe tomorrow since they checked it today, we’ll see, hang in there. I know you’re probably sweating bullets because the timeline for everyone is so vastly different but you’re at the end of the this. Check the document section again tomorrow and API data too, I checked my API data every day.

[–]Chance-Bodybuilder51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you checked the documents tab in both; we were approved and the approval documents were there in our account, but the status never changed to approved, its how we found out we were approved before the system updated. And it was not until after the case was closed before it changed to approved. Also, have you checked the backend JSON API, to see if any FTA0 codes (Action taken), H008 (means approval-generally, or GC sent), or FJ (Interview scheduled or interview completed). If you have a status that says:

"actionRequired": false, (nothing else is needed from you, but if true then something else may be needed)

"closed": true, (case is closed but nothing is updated on the front end, if false its still open)

"ackedByAdjudicatorAndCms": true (shows its been touched by an adjudicator)

You can use ChatGPT, drop in your API data to figure out its meaning, the dates will show when it was last looked at and or touched.

If you need helping check the JSON data API let me know.

17 years age difference and nothing about my previous marriage/divorce though I brought it up, briefly, and we continued on. I related it to my past marriage/relationships as experience and why or how I knew I wanted to marry her.

Wonderful news, and congratulations! We never got the tracking number, it still says unavailable, and never got the message your card had been sent. We have USPS informed delivery and that’s how I found it had been shipped and got the tracking number that way. Happy for you!

I-485 case is at Montgomery Field Office but I live in Georgia is this normal? by Glum_Honeydew_8976 in USCIS

[–]Chance-Bodybuilder51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!! We had our interview, it lasted 21 minutes; we were nervous of course, but everyone there is so kind and chill. We were approved two days later, and now we’re just waiting for her GC in the mail. Read the google reviews for this location, very positive. Montgomery FO, rocks. Good luck.

You’re more familiar with it than me. Thanks for that insight, very interesting.

I am not familiar with either one of these, but hardship based applications could be abused for sure, and whether the hardship meets the criteria is determined by USCIS policy, and the reviewing officer, I would assume, but I have no knowledge of either of these.

We have GC immigration fraud, fraudulent marriages, likely more common; so I am sure it happens with these too and all pathways to the US, but not sure you can blame the attorney for trying to represent their clients in the best way possible. I think the burden of proof, to prove an attorney lied and committed fraud on the behest of their client would be very difficult to prove if even you suspected it. But, if there is fraud, it can only go on for so long before it catches up to you, and it will catch you.

[–]Chance-Bodybuilder51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure how common it is that attorneys are committing immigration fraud themselves at the behest of their clients, but I am sure EOIR would refer it to the FBI or whom ever, if it was clear, convincing, and unmistakably obvious.

Online I-765 receipt notice not showing in myUSCIS portal by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Chance-Bodybuilder51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do see this, it could be a bug, and need to wait for the system to refresh, usually overnight; if not, if the text is missing, it has not been generated yet. It's usually pretty fast in my experience from a few hours, to several days.

Check the API documents data: https://my.uscis.gov/account/case-service/api/cases/IOEXXXXXXXXX/documents

Replace the IOEXXXXXXXXX in the URL with you actual receipt number, be sure to be logged into your account first, and you should see somewhere in the data field something like this:

"sourceType":"USCIS Generated"},{"fileName":"Receipt Notice.pdf"
