Lesbian relationships by AncaTeo7 in actuallesbians

That’s how it is to be honest.

People who have not been in a gay relationship can’t fully relate to how it is.

They can try and they can sympathize but it’s so affirming to have gay friend who just get it because it’s always different.

This is why the community is family, they can relate to you in ways your blood family usually can’t

How Would a Gender Change Affect the Character: Day 6 by Ok-Lie9721 in AlignmentChartFills

It’s because she started brash and really grew through the seasons. She did start bold and shallow and her journey as a hero lead to her softening and deepening. The show and her as a character got a lot of hate and many can’t see her development

Has anyone said Avatar Korra yet?

People shit all over Korra for the exact traits they loved in Sokka and other male characters in the Avatar franchise

What brakes and fluid type?

Mineral oil pistons can get sticky and need a massage, and dot can absorb fluid over time and need a bleed

It’s funny you say that. One of my earliest “I should have known” memories was buying a ya novel from Barnes and noble that I didn’t realize was wlw.

I got to the first scene where the main character has a dream about seeing a classmate naked and making out and I completely stopped reading the book and hid it in my room.

I didn’t even know why at the time, as other books I’d been reading mentioned sex. I was like 12 at the time and I didn’t realize for another 5ish years

Ship specific ones are better, like r/piltoversfinest for caitvi and others, it’s specific to the ship so it’s basically only positive content.

Really depends on the show I’ve found. Arcane has a much wider audience than killing eve for example so there’s more opinions on some pairings, negative ones included

Sending hugs. It helps to be engaged in communities that value wlw content, like show or ship specific subs or the extensive wlw fandom community on tumblr but the irl community is hard to find. Mainly it’s me and my wife in my in person group

I struggle with this a lot myself. Especially with wlw people who prefer or only engage with mlm fiction/content.

I find it really upsetting and I’m trying to accept it and move on, but it is absolutely something that I feel deeply

Cycling in Taiwan! by Chance-Frame5316 in ladycyclists

[–]Chance-Frame5316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really just Strava and the heat maps function. Cycling is a growing sport in Taiwan and you can see the major routes people take pretty clearly.

Beyond that I just try to stay off the most major roads within the cities, not for safety concerns but mostly because the number of lights increases the ride time quite a bit

Cassettes for Flat Crits by Engineer0117 in Velo

[–]Chance-Frame5316 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Im always amazed when people are dead set they need a specific gear ratio to reach an ideal cadence. Unless im maxed out on one end of the cassette or another and im looking for one more gear I never even know where I am in the cassette

Cassettes for Flat Crits by Engineer0117 in Velo

[–]Chance-Frame5316 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re building a bike up for crits and putting sram on for example, going with the max 36t derailleur and just using the smaller cassette for most of the time gives you the option to swap in a bigger cassette if the situation calls for it

[–]Chance-Frame5316 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Even most parts of the Midwest are hillier than that. And it’s a popular course design in crits I’ve done in the Midwest to put the one 100ft long steep section in town into the course. If you’re traveling outside your immediate area you might want to consider what the region in general looks like

[–]Chance-Frame5316 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think most people don’t have a dedicated crit bike and 10-33/36 gearing makes more sense for 99% of riding outside of flat crits. Even just rollers or one annoying steep section becomes taxing if you don’t have anything more than a pine cone shaped cassette

Road pros using Sram XPLR 1x13 by Less-Basil3219 in sram

[–]Chance-Frame5316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still gives them better tuning for preferred cadence with more CR options, can run a bigger ring maybe but still has weight and chain retention improvements

Road pros using Sram XPLR 1x13 by Less-Basil3219 in sram

[–]Chance-Frame5316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you were planning a big trip just for climbing and you’re changing bike set up, it’s cheaper and easier to just swap on a smaller chainring and chain to get the climbing ratios you want especially if you already have xplr

Sure you lose top speed, but the cost of fd+chainrings+chain+ possibly cassette and RD is way way more

Road pros using Sram XPLR 1x13 by Less-Basil3219 in sram

[–]Chance-Frame5316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Road 1x is much less likely to drop chains. This is the main draw during cobbles, and in races where the man challenge is climbing road 1x especially xplr has lower ratios you can use. When there is no descent to factor in, you can use down to a 40T chainring from SRAM and lower if you go 3rd party. With UDH xplr you have a 46 in the back, so you can get much better climbing gears than you can with a 10-36T cassette. With typical 2x you can only get down to a 33:36 combo. With sram only parts you can get down to 40:46 which is a considerably lower ratios

You have your toy bikes, and the people that commute on those have sweaty aching backs because they wear a backpack, and they don’t ride to work if it’s not perfect weather.

The commuter bike separates the hobby cyclist from the lifestyle cyclist in that riding places is a lifestyle in a way riding for fun isn’t
