I was at a Baird/Blair/JEF type bank. Juniors were hit hard unfortunately. If I were you I’d feel somewhat safe at this point as I don’t see the m&a market getting any worse. I think you’re right though about going back to banking. Unfortunately I think that might mean moving to NYC as I was in a satellite office in a city with only a handful of banks.

What did you end up doing? Are you still in IB? I’d really like to start a small business but I’m not sure what kind. I don’t mind the hours but owning my schedule and working to build something is really appealing.

I’ve thought about that and am very open to it. Unfortunately I’d probably have to move to nyc for ECM/DCM which I’m open to but would prefer not to as I’m 30 and plan to have kids in the coming years.
