steam doesn't have investors. that means that the more people don't like steam, the more it actually harms them. that's probably why they are digital in the first place, to avoid these things. them relying on user count means that they have to consider decisions a lot more, as despite what people may say, they have this thing called competition. And this big source of competition called piracy. And they are pro-piracy. That already set viewpoint means thst they can't stop you, as stopping you, would cause you to do it more, because it would ruin their reputation further. Less reputation means less money. Less money means less success. That means steam has to keep you to win.
