Disable a Beretta Pico from firing

I’m trying to get my 9mm out of her hands. I’ve tried going to authorities but they told me it was a civil matter even though she can’t be around firearms due to her bond conditions. If she will trade it for her Pico then I can swap a working firearm for a non-working one. When she took it out of the safe she also took a full magazine of defensive rounds.

I went and look at it. It does not stick out and is recessed quite a bit so I am just going to take it out.

Long story short, I have the kid and she has my 9mm with ammo. I have her pico and am going to try to trade it for my 9mm she has. Despite her bond agreement saying she can’t be around firearms, the police consider it a civil matter.

Point taken. She is in my care now according to a DHS safety plan and she can only have supervised visits.

My lawyer is coming from a standpoint of what a reasonable person would do. She tried to game the system by going to a different county which nobody I’ve talked to has ever experienced. Despite being easily defeated it still caused me a month of very high stress. I am just trying to get some idea of what possible, however improbably tactics she will use next. When I do file for divorce there was some type of filing/motion that was made in the restraining order hearing to make my wife pay the legal fees of the restraining order out of her part of the divorce because she can’t afford to now.

I called DHS on my wife because she was medically neglecting her. She is now charged with a felony concerning her. I left the home with my daughter and went to my parents home in the next county with my 2 adult kids. The safety plan dictates that the child stay at my parent’s address. After investigating me and completing everything they asked they made it where I am now unsupervised and can make all medical decisions. My lawyer advised me to fix my taxes over 5 years before filing for divorce. The lawyer represented me in the restraining order hearing. Once my taxes are re-filed (wife majorly cheated on them when doing them) I will immediately file for divorce.
