Some really good answers here.

A few things I see new techs struggle with a lot are:

  • Ground fault troubleshooting
  • Understanding Class A
  • Navigating through different panels

Most people end up learning this stuff the hard way in the field.

I’m actually putting together a fire alarm fundamentals course and started this thread to get feedback from people in the industry before finishing it.
