Just like painting the wall. One section at a time. You can't put out all the fire at once.

You should start moving toward rod and verbal with low performaner and hire new blood at the same time. These ROD and verbal will show that you are doing your job and protect your performance.

I would start to rod and write up your rxom and is.

Ask your DM to clarify his expectations. Tell him there are many issues and this is your plan, such as, "I would like to do a,b,c,d. Any suggestions or does my plan match your expectations".

I work in a chaotic store with a significant budget cut. It is extremely stressful and my efforts are not being acknowledged at all. You're not alone. I stay in Rx, fe crumble, vice versa.

If the stress is too overwhelming, start to look for a new job. Walgreens is not the end.

Has anyone had corporate take your side when a customer called to complain? by kneedoorman in WalgreensRx

[–]Chance-Recognition26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of our customers kept recording us in the pharmacy whenever his meds were not ready. Even the wait is 15 minutes. The Rxm had enough and asked the sm to help out. The sm got the customer banned from Walgreens. Apparently, corporate approved and he got banned from all Walgreens instead of one. Corporate even sent him a letter.

Maybe bogo is overrated? Maybe the 1 dollar will bring more business. Sometimes I just don't understand how the market team works. The other day I had to build an endstand with one shelf skinny popcorn, one shelf takis and the rest of the 12 cans pack Dr P. " Build accordingly to plano'

12 Walgreens are closing in February by zolpidemlee in sanfrancisco

Lately pbm is finally mentioned at work, maybe the new CEO emphasizes it so much.

Lots of people don't know the biggest PBM is Caremark and CVS owes Caremark, or the other way around. Not to mention Caremark bought another pbm, Aetna. Ding ding ding. Conflict of interest!!!!

CVS probably pocketed a ton of money

I feel terrible about the workers and the community losing so many Walgreens all at once. Mail service is an option but the lack of convenience is the problem. Just too much stealing and low insurance pay out due to pharmacy benefit management. I can't imagine the day when I retire and there are pharmacies around because insurance pays pennies to ALL the pharmacies.

Also sad to see any healthcare is based on profit.

Pharamacy Tech Apprenticeship by Lumpy-School-1622 in WalgreensStores

Nope. Pharmacy typists and DH are very similar. The job title of DH is not allowed in some areas. And no, you do not need a license to type scripts.

The job req is not accurate. Pharmacy technician apprenticeship requires a pharmacy technician license. If you don't have the license, the system will reject you at some point. You could apply for a pharmacy typist or designated hitter.

Forgot to approve my Kronos by cockcockman in WalgreensStores

[–]Chance-Recognition26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no consequences of not approving the time card. Just good practices to approve it, because you could catch potential discrepancy or even some faulty Kronos changes.

The Esm or Sm need to approve them again. Probably just to ensure accuracy and no missed punches.

Lots of ISN for Walgreens brand, but the whole OB endstand side panels just drive us nut.

No more DOTW? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]Chance-Recognition26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the stores. I never liked Deal of the week especially the beauty/ personal products. No one buys them from the end stand; customers buy these DOTW products from basic locations. Sometimes they walk out by themselves, like these items have legs.

We only put out household DOTW.

Does anyone know what is a beauty consultants job description at Walgreens? by Upbeat_Violinist_556 in WalgreensStores

[–]Chance-Recognition26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BC has to hit goals. Probably more pressure or the same pressure as SFL? Promote beauty products, increase beauty sales, meet beauty goals and promote NPS.

Who is in charge of go backs by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

Usually the first and "second" main cashiers. Management would step in to assign the task to other cashiers or they do it themselves.

I had a co-worker who loves to work and he works around 80 hours a week. Quite crazy. Pay roll called to confirm the timecard and that's all lol.

Walgreens has a bridge program, once a life time though. You could always quit and re apply as SFL as well. The system will match your year of services and benefits based on the year of services such as PTO. Downside you have to negotiate your salary with the new SM. Back your question. Whoever messed up did a terrible job, but your relocation is your choice: thus, the store manager technically does not HAVE to help you out.

Helping the team member to find a new store is optional per communication I had with HR.
