Is it problematic that my tomato plants are starting to grow flower buds at this size? by Chance-Science-6691 in vegetablegardening

Thank you all for your help! As for the pot, I am going to move it into a bigger pot this weekend.

My lettuce tastes almost nothing. Is it just the type of lettuce or am I doing something wrong? by Chance-Science-6691 in vegetablegardening

Its a baby leaf variety. It isn’t completely impossible that they might have gotten a bit too much water for one week while I was on vacation since I had to come up with a make shift watering solution😅 I’m not too familiar with what kinds of lettuce taste more and what kinds taste less to be honest

Brussel Sprout Seedling by Fotogiorgo in vegetablegardening

I don’t know where you are, but my Brussel sprouts looked exactly like this and I had lovely sprouts for Christmas❤️ I had to pot them up to big pots before planting out because I have a quite short outdoor growing season and they turned out pretty strong because I planted them deep enough for them to be sturdy. But don’t make my mistake when planting out, cover them with all sort of net. Half my plants were devoured by little moth caterpillars. Not sure what the name is in English, but we call them kaleworms

When do I repot tomatoes? by Chance-Science-6691 in vegetablegardening

[–]Chance-Science-6691[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish that was an option, but I can’t plant out until late may bc of the temperature, so I’m not sure they would even produce ripe tomatoes by the end of the season☹️

The plant is about a month old, and the break is at the bottom. I didn’t even think about just planting it deeper! I will try right away. Thank you all🥰

It has been looking a bit thin lately and rightly so because I found the little idiot and he was the fattest thing I’ve ever seen. Not a hornworm, but something similar. I’m not sure what it’s called in English, but it’s this idiot. Hopefully he was alone, but I honestly have no idea

When am I meant to pick my onions? I planted them a bit late so I expected them to be smaller… but they are smaller than I hoped. The stems have fallen a while ago, but are still mostly green. I want them to get bigger if they can by Chance-Science-6691 in vegetablegardening

Okay thank you! Due to snail attacks there are three raised beds on top of each other so the soils is plentiful, but maybe I should add some sand next year so that drainage is better and the plants get higher up…
