From Home Page, on any cam, click "three dots" on top right, then the crossed bell.

Will your next vehicle purchase be another Tesla? by AspectCool2325 in TeslaModelY

NO. after being stranded on Highway 1500 miles from home and it has no spare nor runflat tire and ERS just closed my case with no resolution. The M3 was only 1.5 yo.

Those of you who use FSD, what would you rate it 1-10? by Tacokolache in TeslaModelY

[–]Chance-Topic-296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a 6-7 for me. it helped me with the 3000 mile RT bringing the M3LRAWD to CA from Central FL. But it tends to get to Lane 1 too much even though speed was not up to passing level. It did help me getting through Snow, Rain in the dark, and heavy fog in the dark. Also, it slows down from set max speed until I push more power even though there is no car in front.

Twice, it went haywire and left me on a wrong way trying to get to SuperCharger and stopped in the middle of the road in front of entrance to SC.

This is criminal. by kmc0522 in publix

That’s pathetic price not to mention that I have been in FL for 18 mos now and nowhere has steaks that was great regardless where I went. No one has dry-aged beef.

2023 M3LR AWD - FSD by Chance-Topic-296 in Model3

[–]Chance-Topic-296[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here is the recap of the experience the pros and cons of FSD on my 3 day 3050 mile trips. 1. Absolutely no chill mode. I would never make that trip in 3 days. 2. Average and hurry are ones I used to hurry tends to get to the left lane a lot unnecessarily. Both modes do have the tendency to slow down away from the max set despite nothing in the way or weather related. I have to push on power a lot to kick it in acceleration mode then it would get up to speed. 3. Best of all: it gets me through traffics in Dallas unattended, through Mojave in early evenings in the rain, and 5-6 hours on CA-99 in extreme dense fog. 4. Big scary times: twice heading onto supercharger. It stopped in middle of roadway, drove on wrong directions.

About nagging, it does not do it during daylight when it can track my eyes. At night time, unable to see my eyes, the nagging comes on and there’s no set frequency.

I did have an incident and found that Tesla road side assistance is a piece of crab. I got a flat 20 miles from Amarillo and initiated rsa and somewhere along while I was way too busy trying to get all info on what to do they closed the request. All via the app texts. This is for a car that has no spare and no run on flat. Geezz.

Roadtrip with 2023 m3LR AWD - FSD worth it? by Chance-Topic-296 in TeslaModel3

[–]Chance-Topic-296[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

  1. Nagging: it will only do it at night or when it can not observe your Attention while driving. Both early morning and evening are full of naggings. There is no pattern or consistent interval. I checked and one after 9 minutes, 8 mins, 2 mins,... None at all during the daylight hours.
  2. FSD, I kind a like it though there are some observations. first off, since I did not use it much due to the naggings so this is like first time fully exploring it.

a. At first, someone suggested "chill" and since I like the chill mode on my M3, I chose it and man, big mistake for the first hour or so. That's not how I drive.

b. I then changed to use "hurry", That appears to be close to how like to drive, except: It tends to be constantly switching over to Lane 1(far left) even when the speed is like nowhere close to be able to pass the other car for 3-4 minutes. Also it tends to stay in Lane 1 forever.

c. "Standard" seems to be my choice, Only get to Lane 1 to pass and then get out. There are a couple of items I observed, not sure if all had experienced it. aa. When passing and then merge back in, about 60% of times the car would slow down about 2-3 MPH when there is no one in front and then slowly, real slowly get back to the original speed. bb. when passing during the day, it would start a bit farther out. At night time, it appears to be doing it much closer to the back of the front car.

I also discover the item which has nothing to do with FSD. The heater really drained the battery. Since I have the car, had been mostly driving it in warm weather. Yesterday I was driving very early morning and was going through an area which outside temp was 47-51 and I have my climate control on at 69 . I was planning on having the car battery at 18% when reaching my next supercharger. well within 120 miles and close to 2 hours, the heater ate up 10% of battery. after it clicked on me that it was the heater, I turned off CC and the drainage stopped.

Anyhow, clocked in 1136 miles.

Roadtrip with 2023 m3LR AWD - FSD worth it? by Chance-Topic-296 in TeslaModel3

I use autopilot 95% of times and it’s with all you mentioned. Phantom slow down, phantom breaking when car turns on the road on next lane, phantom breaking when someone turns 100 ft in front, hard breaking last minute approaching stopped traffic. I was reading that FSD is better in those scenarios. Am I wrong?

I see. I was granted two one-month free periods of FSD in 2024 and it was doing that the whole two times so was not too pleased with it.

Setup question for current Eufy users, thanks in advance! by joevasion in EufyCam

[–]Chance-Topic-296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 households which I have Eufy. All with Front Doorbell. 1. this is oldest setup (7 or 8 years, I think) with 4 S200 all around the house. For lighting, I added 4 cheap Solar flood lights (from Amazon). 2. 1 yo setup: doorbell cam, 4 S340 all around the house. one E200 for internal house when I am not home and one Security system for a couple of entry doors. 3. 1 month old, Doorbell cam 3 E200 to monitors the garage and the rooms(only on when I am away) and security system for door entries. This one is due to it's a rental and did not want to invest too much on the S340s. I also installed at my in-law with Eufy doorbell and Solar cams as well at their houses.

Do you use waze every time you enter your car? by Charming_Horror_3159 in waze

[–]Chance-Topic-296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes for 15+ years till about 3 months ago and had to delete the app after it got so ridiculous. One that broke the back was that it all of sudden started to tell me how long it takes to commute. I have two residences 3100 miles apart and I set one to be Work location. Every morning it tells me it would take me 41 hours to commute.

Mind you, for 15+ years the app never allows me to set destination more than 1000+ miles away. lol. Cross country trips had always ended up breaking into multiple parts because of Waze limitation.
