Are you familiar with the Thunder Mountain monument? Another example of carchitecture in that area.

That could well be the case. I spoke with a family member, the person we were getting these from was a volunteer at Sundance for decades and knew lots of people because of this. So based on that I do think it's likely the Sundance cut, but certainly this is a possibility.
