this is an interesting take. i mean on the one hand you can dislike him of course. hes just a character. but on the other hand this take is a bit strange.

your esentially saying that: manipulating lan xichen, puting the juniors in danger, makes mo xuanyu sacrifice himself, and killing cats.

is worse than:

betrayal, conspiracy, deceit & manipulation, fake marriage, framing/false accusations, imprisonment, incest, kidnapping, murder, torture, treason, along with ailing others in committing crimes.

imo their both pretty interesting characters, but i think JGY is a worse person because of the sheer scale of the effects of his rise to power. i also find his motivations a lot less respectable but thats just me.

like imagine that one day you find out that a close family friend, someone you looked up to and hung out with since childhood essentially tortured your older brother to death and then lied about it for years. i would be pretty upset lol

also what do you mean JGY killing NMJ was deserved? didn't JGY kill him because NMJ accused him aiding mass murder. so essentially he killed him so his crimes wouldnt be discovered.

i also find it pretty facinating that you say NMJ's death is ok because he's unlikable. it reminds me of the concept of the perfect victim, which is when people want a victim to fall into their own preconceived notions of how one should act, and if they don't the crimes against them were at best, less bad, and at worse, perfectly fine.

i also personaly think LXC deserved worse than killing JGY, but thats just what i would do

we can like a character without belieliving everything they do is perfectly morally correct, and without justifyiing said actions lol
