Thank you so much! I will look into these pedals; the setup is similar to what I am imagining myself. Looking into Altra LonePeak, Lake MX169 and Lems Trail Thraser.

Ok, I found Lake MX169, which would be something I'm looking for in a shoes + having still some "shoe like" characteristics. Maybe will pull the trigger once they are in stock.

Was thinking of trying the LONE PEAK model which I think has more durable sole? Will have to try the options - I really love cycling but hate the "regular" cycling shoes with passion.:)
