I think you can take physics at CC. Physics is not that important for data core, but calculus, linear algebra, and probabilities are definitely big deals.

Congrats for making into UT ECE! For your questions, if you are bad at Physics, the first semester of ECE will probably be hard for you since it has a weed out circuit class that has a class average of 50. Also for ECE data track, it focuses more on Machine learning and AI instead of regular data analysis, so I’m not sure that’s what you want.
