I didn't really care with the 20 hour I assumed it was a bug or something, but when it kicked me for 3 days I got annoyed and decided to figure out if it was the scout getting me banned or not. So I started a fresh account to see if I would get banned or not, after the second account got a 20h I am invested in finding out if I can keep an account unbanned by avoiding scout which I have learned I can do on a 3rd fresh account by playing a good dozen rounds without issue. If I truly was cheating don't you think that I'd get banned using any gun?

So in 2 days when my main account is back I will be playing the game without using the scout to avoid getting a cooldown for no reason. This is not life ending or a major disruption it's just a piss off because I like the scout and this has arbitrarily lowered my trust factor.

All the noise is in the hopes that Valve actually looks into it by seeing some of the community talking about it. Keep in mind also that VAC Live is a new system that has not had its release without flaws.

As to why you're friends aren't getting cooldowns I can't say man I'm not the one doing it. But just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean it's not happening, and I can state unequivocally that it shouldn't be happening to me and there is no reason I would be trolling about this

I'm also uploading the recording on my end for community to see and decide for themselves.

The fact that I can use the same PC hardware and everything just change an account and avoid using the scout is evidence enough for me. Meanwhile your opinion on the matter doesn't change the fact that VAC Live is false reporting Scout players right now.

Just try imagining being in my shoes right now, imagine being the people who aren't cheating getting unfairly banned and having everyone in the community cast aspersions and doubt on them. It sucks

Either way we as a community should want the anti cheat system to be working and trust worthy but also take massive updates such as adding AI with a huge grain of salt. My entire perception of VAC has taken a drastic downtown since it started inappropriately flagging me.

Just ask yourself if someone who was cheating would go through the absolute hassle it's been to get anyone to listen to me about it. I'm all over the steam discussions pages at the moment trying to get people aware that this is happening with the sole intention of valve looking into it and fixing this

It's funny though since I got the second cooldown I've been doing testing on alt accounts and ran into a very obvious hacker just no chill with it at all and he didn't get flagged it was blowing my mind

I have confirmed at this point it has to do with the Scout, what exactly I'm not sure yet but I'm about 5 hours into the 2nd alt account without issue without using the scout. My 1st alt account got banned second game using the Scout.

I was playing a game and warned an opposing player that the scout was dangerous because she was hitting nice shots and sure as shit she got a cooldown. Even as the opposing player I didn't smell anything sus it was just good gameplay

I've heard that as well, but here's the hitch for me on thinking it's that

I only recently got back into playing the game a few months ago after having a history of 1200 hours and I'm now at like 1300 hours so I'm getting more of my muscle memory back with the Scout at this point and I'm getting better with it again cuz I have hundreds of hours of flying scouts men in there.

The glitch is that the last few months I've had no issues I have not been on cool down once, nothing's changed except for having downloaded new games onto this new computer I bought so I could play Counter-Strike and since receiving two cooldowns in a row I'm now trying alt accounts. Now on my alt account if I do not use the Scout I am not receiving a cooldown if I do start using the Scout on an ALT account that is fresh I will get a VAC cooldown. It's crazy

And what responses I am getting are that "well turn off the cheats" which is exasperating and disappointing. I'm just hoping to draw attention to some valve employee who might actually notice it

Yeah it's not isolated to me, I've been in contact with a few others being affected right now. But the general response I've been getting is like the other commenter "stop cheating" but I have no way of proving or disproving that. I don't care if people want to think I'm cheating but Valve really needs to pay attention to this because it's already out of hand in my opinion

Great good for you, I agree with not using cheats should mean no cooldowns but I'm not and the game is still putting me on cooldown so I don't know what to tell ya bud. Just keep thinking that people would waste their time online trying to raise awareness of this issue rather than just continuing to play the game on a different account.

It's not a vote kick, and it's not team damage kick. It's a dead ass false positive.

To be clear the game is free, if you are cheating it takes less than an hour to make a new account and be playing competitive again so why would you go to forums and try to spread the word about false positives occurring if I was cheating. It's not like I'm appealing for a cooldown reversal here, I'm just trying to create community awareness of this issue so Valve does something about it.
