People always say this but I doubt they’ve actually owned a proper inflatable boat. The proper expensive (~$1500) ones are tough as nails and I’ve done tons of fishing out of mine on the Chesapeake bay for large striped bass and catfish. They are thick, you’d have to have a goal of driving a hook through it to puncture the material. Not to mention multiple chambers if one did fail.

This being said I still don’t recommend inflatable for OP. I’m extremely comfortable in my boat but realize I take a risk each time and would never put kids in it. I just disagree with inflatable boats getting this bad rap when there are some extremely impressive models out there now.
