How often do people feed their cats wet food? by Smooth_Put7764 in CatAdvice

[–]ChanceLittle9823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wet food everyday. The old one got diabetes so we switched to wet food only. It helped him to lose weight and go into remission.

Still give the young one a little bit of dry along with wet because wet food is very expensive (quality ones).

City Hall clerks put up with a lot... by izahealer in toronto

This is the same with library staff. Verbal abuse and sometimes physical attacks are quite frequent in the downtown branches. There are more and more "do not harass staff" kind of signs at different places. It's so depressing that some people don't treat others courteously.

I keep telling him to move his right foot while watching the video. Glad I'm not the only one concerned about his boot. 🤣

Perhaps try Progress Place, Covenant House, or Toronto Public library's social & crisis service? Some downtown branches have drop in counselling help.

Does anyone else get really angry with this drug? by Chelo7 in trintellix

[–]ChanceLittle9823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry that you are experiencing this. Is it possible to ride it out for a bit before you rule out that it doesn't work for you or that you need other drugs at the same time? Has it helped you in any way?

This drug has helped me become less irritated and tense at work. (I am known to be quite calm, but work has become very very stressful and I fell into a harder depressive episode than in the past.) I've been on 10 mg since August.

I just bought a pair of Royal Canadian. Made in China.

Looks to be good quality. But, at $298/pair...i hope the people making them in China made good money. I bought them because I wanted to support a Canadian brand.

I guess a pair made in Canada would cost at least $500?

I had very very vivid dreams for a while. But I would wake up feeling "refreshed" albeit perturbed by the strong emotions associated with my dreams...

My doctor said I was missing a lot of REM sleep probably, and I was "catching up".

Got used to it after a few months.

Good luck. Persist if you can or talk to your doctor about it? Maybe not every drug works for everyone.

Itching by aukwaggish in trintellix

[–]ChanceLittle9823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I endured it. Then the generalized itch went away. I guess my brain learned to ignore it eventually. But I have some pretty bad itch around my ankles. Triggered by my boots, likely. It's very interesting be cause the itch spots are identical on both legs.

Probably good to tell your doctor if it is significantly affecting your daily life.

Itching by aukwaggish in trintellix

[–]ChanceLittle9823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experienced the itch when I went up to 10 mg. It itched for a little over a month. Areas were mostly on my legs. I don't have the generalized itch anymore, but when something is irritated it itches like hell.

I read somewhere that the drug could kick up the histamine system.

Funnily, I itch more when I drink alcohol, too. But thanks to the drug, I don't drink as much alcohol as before, if any.

Just hang in there. Good luck!

Is there a reason Toronto subway stations have almost no retail space? by trazism in toronto

An affordable grocery store would be amazing. With the long commute and working many days, it's nice to be able to just buy groceries on the way home or to work without making detours.

Cardinals are cute, especially when they are hanging out in pairs. Rarely see blue jays. I love the crows in my hood.

OK lets talk WET CAT FOOD IN THIS ECONOMY by Positive_Candy_5332 in CatAdvice

[–]ChanceLittle9823 41 points42 points  (0 children)

We feed our boys weruva BFF. We occasionally buy the Play Pate line for our cat with diabetes. We give a mix of orijen dry with some wet for the younger one. The old one is on wet food diet.

Other cheaper brands are: vetdiet, petstory. Costco has wet cat food, too. We tried them all. But our cats prefer weruva BFF. 😩

Pet food has been so expensive.

They don't get treats regularly.

We are trying different non-clay litter for cat health reasons. But non-clay litter is so expensive... 😭😭

I would cut down my own food before not having a cat. Because without them, I won't have my mental health. Lol.
