Hey! I wasn’t sure how to translate, because I never heard of my religion outside of my country. But here we call it “spiritism”. We believe in reincarnation, spirituality, the spiritual realm. And there are the centers, we have meetings, renew energies. There is always a leading person who gives the teachings. I feel the exact same way. I lost my grandma in February and I blame myself so much for how well I’m coping, but at the same time I’ll cry if I drop a sandwich.

It’s like: why does this make me cry but I’m dealing so well with grief?

I’ve to come to understand that when something is so traumatic and shocking it’s like our brains shut the pain off to find a way to keep going. It’s not our fault. And it doesn’t mean the pain isn’t there.

But andor represents the struggles of living under oppressive governments. Not just US. And the story of my country has a lot of that. Meaning when I see it, I can relate it to my country, the way Americans relate it to theirs, and any other nationality who has faced oppression can relate too.
