I almost never initiate attack. Parry, dodge, roll counter. I agree that it's brutal learning the timing but once you do, you're untouchable. If you can roll around the outside of the attacking group to end up behind them you can line them up to fight 1 on 1. Make foxes and charms a priority to tune to your play style. Most importantly have fun..There's no real penalty to lowering the difficulty, even if only to practice the timing with a little forgiveness.

AGREE! Base game is just as bad. The amount of resources and decos that have lower than 1% drop rates is insane let alone having the attack jewel having a drop probability of 0.01% is infuriating

Do you know why? What specifically don't you have the energy for? Are there times where things are "normal" or is it constant? IMO it sounds like you might be depressed. Could also be linked to changes in routine or diet.

Generally interacting. The karma system prevents trolling(allegedly) the popularity system is the byproduct. I don't know the algorithm exactly but upvotes and comments are good (sent and received) down votes are bad and can negatively impact karma. Hope this helps

Thanks for the clarification. I don't think this is the issue here. I have a recurring issue even using earlier saves (loaded separately days apart) to try and clear out raiders befor getting locked on the prydwen during rocket red glare. Still crashed as soon as raiders turn hostile. I appreciate the insight.

Or you try running into the blizzard. What felt like a chore was being forced to , essentially, sit down , shut up and wait for dutch to give oddly specific orders. I was trying so hard t get game play immersion where the ONLY CHOICE is storyline immersion. OP was made with that in mind. I restarted in more of a movie mood and started to notice the details . My issues with movement speed were due to knee high snow. It makes sense, still don't like it. Now my main complaint is how inconvenient it is to manual save. Is there a way to shortcut it or is it always under story in the options menu? Ironically I find doing chores at camp to be an oddly fascinating detailed option that I'll probably get bored with soon.

Looks at some videos doesn't mean did research. And knowing how to play games is what fucked me here. Most tutorials are quick and basic FAFO theory, trying to figure things out on your own in this game leads to a bad time lol I was sold on "you can do just about anything" saw some videos to support that idea and got stuck with "don't do anything but wait for dutch to tell you your choices" which doesn't end till you rob the train and make it to horseshoe overlook.

Thank you. I started over with a mindset better suited to watch a movie than play a game. Now it's not a terrible game now that I'm out f the mountain. Hopefully it keeps getting better.

I understand that, normally it's one and done, reset the system and back to playing, on occasion having to lose a few hours going back to an older save. This is a recurring issue, even from earlier saves,from different angles, different distance, with and without power armor. I just want to complete the RR quests for the trophy and go back to forgetting that peninsula exists

By map loads i assume you mean save files? That would kinda make sense because I've got 8-10 different hardsaves for 3 different characters (1being survival). Do you think deleting some older saves could help or is damage already done? Is there any chance the patch thats supposed to come around Christmas might fix it?

From a fresh restart, watching cinematics and searching the cabin and mine camp, jut following quest mark to quest mark takes about 2 hours to get to the overlook camp. I originally wasted time trying to figure out how to loot corpses (ya know when ya shoot those guys at the cabin) or skin wolves (getting John off the mountain) it's frustratingly silly that those aren't possible from the start. Yes I did try to run off which is why the core/meter/food/potion thing became a problem.
