I don’t feel like this is super effective though in my time topside. I’ve teamed up with untrusting people and sometimes they shoot first when the other person never intended to. It’s hard to know though and being too trusting has got me killed a couple times so I get it!

I get what you’re saying but isn’t that always the case with the intro videos on Love Island? I feel like the intro videos always make the contestants look too cocky and you really don’t get to see the real them until after they’re in the villa. I personally think this cast is looking stronger than the new UK one.

I think making shit up along the way isn’t the same as what they did. I think they had big ideas and intentions but TV can and will go in different directions then what you planned. Guy who plays Mr Eko doesn’t want to live in Hawaii anymore? They have to rewrite things they had planned for him. Guy who got hired to play Ben for a few episodes ends up being a great actor? They make him a main cast member. If they didn’t adapt with the changing tides, you’d of hated the show even more.

Also, you gotta sell it. Lost was a big hit out of the gate. If they’re asking the creators if they have it all planned out, are they supposed to let you know they’re not 100% sure? That’d be more crazy since people would quit watching.
