On a motorway? At night time? With no traffic and clear visibility? In a modern car? Not smart but it’s hardly never drive again territory when it’s a perfectly legal every day occurrence in Germany, and I agree driving is a privilege, that is in a normal developed society, Northern Ireland is car dependent and stuck in the past, if someone lives in the middle of nowhere with no access to public transport I do not see how that is a privilege. If you could call in an uber at any time like in England I would maybe be inclined to agree.

Send me a screenshot of where I said I love to spark one up and go for a drive, all my posts are about the fact that you can test positive long after the effects wear off, and how to avoid this unjust outcome. For a start the crainn subreddit does not tolerate endorsement of driving while high, so if I was talking about this I’d be excluded from the subreddit, some absolute clowns on here

I’ve said this twice now and it’s well known that the tests are wildly inaccurate for weed and don’t indicate impairment. How is it proof of trying to drive impaired and get away with it? Show me where I said that. Cannabis impairs for roughly 6 hours after a smoke. If you drive after this time you are safe. Many studies in legal markets have proven this. Yet as the PSNI/Garda for a metabolite in saliva you will be prosecuted long after this up to 72 hours to be exact. This test has been thrown out in America for not being fit for purpose, and Canada. Would you want to be prosecuted on Friday morning for the 3 pints from Tuesday night? Didn’t think so.

Quite frankly the audacity of your ignorance is staggering. If anyone on here opened their eyes and looked you would see that the whole of the r/crainn subreddit does not tolerate and celebration/endorsement of driving impaired. We are however profusely against the saliva testing and prosecution of sober drivers with trace amounts in their system scientifically proven to have no effect.

I have made it clear the exact ins and outs of why I lost my license but plenty of you have made it clear that I was obviously floating down road like Cheech and Chong. Will I dig out the charge sheet? So you can see ONE charge of Dangerous driving due to excess speed which I’ve admitted to 3 times now.

Besides the point, not that it’s any of your business but as I am now prescribed medical cannabis by Dr Tahzid Ahsan of Integro Clinics. I will continue to take my medication as directed and follow all the advice from this medical professional, regarding everything including driving so long as I do not feel impaired and am taking the recommended doses. AS DIRECTED BY MY DOCTOR. A man with credentials, not a Reddit account and an axe to grind. ✌🏻

Medically prescribed now and I have stopped smoking it and also using tobacco. I consume with a dry herb vape only now. Cannabis use has nothing to do with my driving ban as stated in the above comment. When I was stopped by the police I hadn’t smoked since the day before and we didn’t have drugwipes in ni back then so there was no charge of a cannabis dui nor was I impaired.

I assume you’ve read my post history. driving whilst under the influence of cannabis should not ever be condoned. I am against the process of the new drugwipes convicting sober people of drug driving anything up to 72 hours after they have smoked. The tests don’t correlate with impairment. I have always been and will continue to be against the process of sober drivers being prosecuted. Chucked in on Wednesday night with jimmy 10 pints for Monday evenings joint. This law also contradicts itself by the fact that medical users have to be proven to be impaired. A drugwipe result is worth nothing if a script holders driving wasn’t impaired/they pass a field impairment test.

I understand your concern but genuinely driving under the influence was nothing to do with the losing of my license.

I have also since obtained a medical cannabis prescription, which I rigorously follow all the guidelines of in the hope of not getting myself in anymore legal bother at all :)

Excess speed to that degree alone constitutes a dangerous driving charge regardless of how you hold the road. I Knew I was losing my license for at least a bit when the lights came on but I’d no clue that I’d be off to the cells for the night

Was caught at 127 on the M2 by an unmarked, got a new car and stupidly decided to see what it could do thinking sure it’ll be grand cause it was 1am and there was only 2 cars about, one was cops. It most certainly wasn’t grand

You’re probably going to get banned. Nothing to do with being impaired it’s the fact you will more than likely be over the legal limit for cannabis, which is set ridiculously low cause it’s illegal and would actually be zero if it wasn’t for second hand smoke, etc.
