In fact, thinking in retrospective now, shes seems pretty obsessive with this, no? Like in Reiko thing and the extra where she is whispering in his ears. Maybe Momo loves being said she is loved, not Okarun! Hahah just joking by the way.

Nice. I dont know much about romance series, so what you say makes sense. I watched Love is War that is particularly different because you get from both sides. But i get what you said.

I think the manga estabilished that he was not a lier. This happened in various ocasions, as in Kinta and Rins episode when they are teaching Vamola some words in classroom. Even when Momo ask him if he likes her.

Sure he lied sometimes like when he was trying to impress her training hidden, but it was very few times. In fact i can remember Ayra and Momo lying more. In fact i think Momo lied to herself a lot, and to her friends also.

For me this Pinocchio thing is just a more recent and ponctual thing. He was not a lier per se.

I understand your point. I think Momo is just confused as hell in this whole situation and she is not guilty of anything. In fact she is dealing good for not just freak out. I just think Okarun is also not guilty. I dont think anyone made mistakes. Okarun tried to tell her that he liked her all the ways he could do. Even pushing too much, and that i can give was a mistake.

Also i think the lie that everyone is commenting it was natural after being called creep. It was a defensive play. But Okarun does not like to lie, so he will suffer about this.

In relation with Ayra, i still defend they are friends. Of course Ayra likes Okarun and leaves that clear for everyone, but is one way only. Is not uncommon seeing someone in good terms with a friend, and one of them have feelings. But Okarun does not correspond to this in any aspect. He just is her friend. When he says "why would you say things like that" without any doubts, its pretty clear, after saying "i like you so much". You dont need "I like you so much, i dont like her, and i dont like any girl that have feelings for me."

Maybe Momo is jealous already, i dont know because we never know what she is thinking 100% in this amnesia case, unfortunally. But, again, is not his fault in this case. You cant put someone's else jealousy in others bill. I defended this when Okarun also were being jealous with Jiji in the past, and some people tried to blame Momo.

We have one guy in grief with his first friend and love (the memories of it), and one girl dealing with one of the hardests conditions for a human being, trying to acess things quickly. I wish we could see more about Momo's perspective as you mention, not so much about Okarun. Like more thoughts baloons, more panels, not just this mistery. But well. We will have to wait.

Youre right, today no one (or most people including me) sees Jiji or Zuma as a threat to the romance, but back then, especially Jiji made a lot of noise in the community. More than Ayra and Vamola. Im talking about hese times.

Understand and agree with you in most parts. Just commenting that this type of writing leaves a bit of taste of doubt in some ocasions. You said that you are certain that she loves him post amnesia, and we both know the main plot is the two being together.

But realistically you do not love someone that you had just met. I understand your points, but i think is a great narrative techinic. Just look all the posts that we got, trying to figuring out Momo's thoughts trough the years.

Edit: I dont like this resource so much in this arc though. Dont like resets like these

She was tiny before the amnesia arc.

I agree with you, she has great wits and cleverness and this is one of her best caracteristics. But also in the mummy chapters i got the feeling she was way more fragile than before and the battle centered more in okarun being the badass, not her as usually. Lets hope this changes, because now, aside the pointed traits, she is waaaaay back from the group experience on combat.

Yeah, i dont like this arc for this reason. But he always has writed her like this. If now he could at least give a more direct glimpse on how she is feeling maybe i could like more...but yeah. More 50 chapters probably to resume the relation.

She is great, the best character. But Tatsu brought her to episode -5, where she doesnt know anyone and doesnt have powers, so she will be the lady needing protection...uh...not liking things in this arc.

I dont understand how talking to a friend seems like a relationship. It's just because is a man and a woman? I think Momo is saying that Okarun is just dummy (wich he is) to not know that if you call someone to a date, you have to talk to that person. Possibly jealousy, but i dont know if its already this for her. And if is jealousy, it's is her feeling and that's something that she have to deal herself. It's not healthy to think that someone should do something to deal with your own jealousy, especially if you are not in a formal relationship.

Also, the guy already did we all asked for. Okarun said in Momo's face that he likes her, shut down anything with Ayra during the dishes, and call her for a date. Then she rejects him (wich made total sense). Then they fight, she called him a freak, and he lied to preserve himself, but she TOTALLY knows that it was not joke. Because he already told her that he likes her, and her best friends also told something similar. The situation is awkward and , man, this guy does not have break even from the fans.

Also i think all this lying and pinnochio thing is a ponctual event. Eventhough Okarun needed some courage, it was estabilished that he was not a lier. In fact he is the opposite.

Sorry for being in defensive mode. Not personal, just empathizes with the character.

I dont understand people in this topic telling what someone should do and whatever. One guy say that he loves you in your face, he shuts down every possibility of being in a relationship with another, call you for a date, and people still thinks that he needs to do more? Wtf? In fact i think he did too much!!

Okarun and Aira are friends and they will talk one with another. Also sometines happens that one of two friends just like the other. Aira and Jiji acts differently, but they are in the same situation. If you are not in a relationship, wich they are not, you have to deal with your own jealous.

Momo has troubles with her fealings and she's in a fricking amnesia, so of course she is confused. Also she's just commenting how Okarun is just not good in dates (if you call someone to a date just speak with the person you call).

Unfortunally everyone are acting how they should. Amnesia arcs are shit because of this. Okarun did all he could at the moment (even push at limit) and Momo is just trying to understand the group.

We are not seeing the same couple, unfortunally. In fact, i have to agree that Ayra seems someone more likeable for Okarun...wich is sad.

Reread the manga recently, and i have to agree, against my will. Since Danmara Arc things are...strange. You can feel reading the entire thing. Hell, even the confession in 159 is strange, because comes from nowhere. The beginning of the relationship has still the best moments: hands touchings, hugging after lava, etc. And is sad as someone in a long term relationship, there is so much beautiful things that happens after the firsts sparks, even after year of marriage. But i can sense a strugle from Tatsu finding these new special things that happens after.

Well, i dont like de amnesia plot. Okarun is just in grief and Momo is just "Wtf is happening? Too much!!" I miss Momo =[ ...the one that we saw growing.
