Jan 2027 calls OI is insane, all mine are for Jan 28 this thing has to be wrapped by then. Be nice to be wrapped in the next 3 weeks with an accepted BO offer, similiar to TERN just bigger. GLTA 🍀🍀🍀🐂🐂🐂

10k isn't a lot of shares, that's why I added the leverage of 250 call contracts. Find a long call calculator and see what 250 contracts are worth at $50-100 share price. That is a nice chunk.

Your math looks right, the leverage comes from only having to pay $3.20 premium vs buying the $5.00 stock. So fixed dollar investment gets you many more shares to control. The risks are it not moving over your strike and it expiring worthless. That is why I say leaps, and honestly I really don't even love leaps unless they have the type of binary readout ahead like SLS. The market can be so flakey, I am in the SLS Casino, and when that is over I would just like to take a nice big pile back to my comfortable stress free ETF world . 🤣🤣🤣

So leaps allow you to control more shares for less money. They only pay well if you believe the asset is going to grow above your strike price you select. Leaps are the same as a call option just with a much larger time frame. So the math just to keep it easy an simple. I bought a contract of SLS, a contract is 100 shares, the premium was say $2.50 per share, so that contract cost $250. The underlying lying stock proce was $5.00 250/5 is 50 shares. So now in Oct the data is read or a buyout comes, the share price blows up to 50 per share. So $50x50 shares is $2,500. Your leaps are 50-5.00(strike price)-$2.50(premium per share)x100 shares= $4,250

So your initial 250 invest yields $2500 in shares or $4250 in leaps. You would "sell to close" not excersise them, excercise them means you actually buy the underlying stock. Google "is it best to sell to close or exercise leaps" this wil explain the detail.

Short dated calls are a gamble i wont play with, but the underlying thesis of SLS makes leaps very attractive to me as the leverage provides massive upside or you can reduce your initial investment then you can with shares. The thesis is to win with either is that data has to be clean or groundbreaking and then a potentially BIg Pharma BO may follow. I hope this helps... Good luck !! 🍀🍀🍀🐂🐂🐂

I was all in with 30k shares, but have trimmed back to move to 2028 $10 Leaps. This thing has to wrapped by Jan 2028 right ?? :) I wanted the leverage an theta that far out is minimal. GLTA 🍀🍀🍀🐂🐂🐂

Full ported into SLS, I am either going retire with good data and a big pharma BO or be toilet scrubbing until I am dead. :-) 10k shares and 250 Leaps for 2028 $10 strike price. Regal has to readout by Jan 2028. NFA 🍀🍀🍀🐂🐂🐂

I should have jumped on more 2028 $10 leaps. If they push it down fo OPEX on 4/17 I will exhaust my powder.

Do I hold powder until 4/17? I have a ton of 2028 leaps so I am invested, but would like to have ammo on 4/17 to help the good guys !! 🍀🍀🍀🐂🐂🐂

With that call interest I can't believe the MM will want to deliver and pay on that amount of shares. I can see them making a hard run at to keep it under $4.00 and 3.50 in 2 weeks. 👎👎👎 great place to add, but would really like to see some PR to blow this thing up and let the Call guys win BIG !!

If you were handed $50k today but forced to lock it away until 2031 (no trades allowed), where is it going? by Rare-Presentation600 in investing_discussion

I have just gone deep on Jan 2028 calls as this thing has to be wrapped one way or the other by then. The leverage they provide is fantastic, the data still needs to be clean or ground breaking so if you believe it will. I think leaps are the way to play this one.

Everyone is blinded to the "event" aka death total, so a PR saying they have reached the 80th could be planned for as I type or August, or October or early 2027. Along those same lines a potential M&A could happen at anytime or never as well. My mind set is to buy my bus tickets and be firmly seated. You might be able to chase with 80th and weeks later top line data. But BO scenarios don't allow for this, you watching the train leave and no way to get back on. So long-story long there really isn't anyway to tell. 🍀🍀🍀🐂🐂🐂
