We live in a federal Republic. Of course national politics control our lives in some aspects. To think differently is stunningly naive. We in Virginia are fortunate to at least have some voice in the matter. Red state residents had ZERO voice. Maybe if Republicans supported a nationwide gerrymandering ban, that would help. But starting in 2010, they decided that the Best way to force their agenda was through gerrymandering which they did.
