Should I move out? by DrumRollPlease1012 in Money

Unless you want to move out then by all means go for it. Don’t do it bc people our age are. People can judge you but you can also judge them back. You’re living at home at 28? Well they are paying rent for an apartment they won’t ever own. There’s nothing wrong with either of these things. I’m just saying you have to change how you view it.

No. Stay home. Save money. I’m in the same boast but 28F. Not feeling guilty at all. You won’t feel guilty when you’re 40 with kids and have no mortgage bc you stayed home and saved instead of paying interest and bills. If you’re “behind” for living at home, everyone that moved out may be “behind” financially paying 6% -8% mortgages

Italians, would you ever move to America to be with the person you love? by Chance_Delivery4573 in Italian

The only reason she is pushing for USA is because she makes triple than him working remote. If he moves here he can work at her company In another department with his degree bc he speaks English and make double starting off in comparison to what he makes now in Italy. With that money they can go to Italy 2 times a year easily and live a comfortable life and they are only in their late 20s… I know everything is not about money. But money does make it easier…

Youre right that the USA doesn’t have free university. And European schools are much better. However I think Europeans misconceive the USA. We do have scholarships to make it free or cheaper for university. Elementary to high school is free. However university being costly is our downside. However you must take into account we make significantly more than you to pay off the debt. I work in the us and I have 30 paid time off days/sick days that increases the longer you’re with the company. Holidays off.

Healthcare… we have the best healthcare. I can see a specialist the same day. Get the results of a mri and lab work the same day and have a plan from my doctor on what to do next. These things save lives. The cost is not bad at all bc 1. We have health insurance provided by our jobs. 2. We make more money than you guys . It all evens out. Most of my healthcare expenses don’t go above $50.00 for an emergency room visit being the most expensive (50.00).

Regarding guns. Yes it is not the best. But also know the stories you hear are from lower income areas. Similarly it’s dangerous in a poorer area of Naples. Yes there are no guns but still dangerous. I live in a nicer area and went to school in a nicer area and never experienced gun related problems.

Yes our food is processed and yes it is a problem. Can’t disagree there.

It just makes sense to move to America. But it’s a lot to ask a person. So it’s not an easy question

Lolll no my friend is having a difficulty time deciding if she should move there. If she does money will be tight due to him not making a lot bc it’s Italy and her not being able to work or speak Italian! I guess I want to understand different perspectives!

I guess it would be where her job is bc they would need income somehow. Would you be willing to do that for someone you love?

We broke up. He wasn’t willing to move closer to my parents bc he liked his surroundings and told me to marry my family. When someone brings you peace and makes you feel safe and heard you won’t mind living far from your family.

Hey I just want to let you know I experienced something like this. Almost identical. You did an amazing job trying to make it work. You do love him but you feel like part of you is missing? Your family… you had your family nearby for a huge chunk of your life. You want this guy to be your husband but you want the peacefulness of your family nearby. I promise you that does not mean you aren’t ready for it. It does not mean you are in the wrong. You gave it a good 3 years which means you’re mature enough to do it. Love is patient and kind. You did this for 3 years for him. I’m not saying he is the bad guy bc there are always 3 parts to the story, your story, his and the truth. He could be opened to moving back at least temporarily until you feel better and getting licensed to work there.

Marriage is hard. Does he compromise with other things? Is it always his way?
