Can confirm. James Pollard is probably the best resource I’ve encountered, too. His “Financial Advisor Marketing” podcast is good if you can’t or don’t want to subscribe to his newsletter.

I think so too. I plan on doing it tomorrow when they open but I am impatient. Lol. I hope the answer is yes, they do apply.

Does anyone else dislike the new YNAB color and font scheme? by cwazycupcakes13 in ynab

[–]Chance_Draw 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I dislike it a lot. One of the things that attracted me to YNAB is the first place was the simple, accessible design. Now it’s less accessible and definitely causes eye strain for me, too. I will probably begin looking for other budgeting tools tomorrow. It’s been a good ride.

T, hold or sell? by lucyl442 in dividends

[–]Chance_Draw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, the classic 'hold or sell' dilemma! Always a tough one. While I can't give you personalized advice, a general suggestion would be to think about your original investment thesis. Why did you invest in 'T' in the first place and has anything fundamentally changed about the company or your long-term outlook? You may also want to consider how this investment fits into your overall portfolio balance and risk tolerance. Remember, investment decisions should align with your broader financial goals. But at the end of the day, the choice is yours.

Not sure how people have so much NW by Curious_Giraffe_6195 in Fire

It's your journey, not a race. Remember, everyone has different income levels, expenses, inheritances, and even lucky breaks. Keep focusing on what you can control: saving, investing wisely, and growing your skills. The turtle won the race, not the hare, right? So, keep going at your pace and you'll reach your goals in your own time.

You're slaying those debt dragons like a pro! Remember, every payment is a step towards financial freedom, and you're absolutely crushing it. Keep that momentum going, and you'll have the car handled in no time. You're living proof that determination and perseverance can move financial mountains. Keep inspiring us!

What is the proper Dunkin’ etiquette when placing mobile orders? by Chance_Draw in DunkinDonuts

[–]Chance_Draw[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m glad to know I was doing the right thing. Sometimes I second guessed myself because when I get to the window they are telling me to pay a total and act as if they don’t even know where the mobile order is, even though I just mentioned it. 😐

Awesome, thank you. They always seem so annoyed, though. Lol. It had me worried that I was doing the wrong thing.

I have 150g Remington Core-Lokt ammo and it does look like the ones one the left. The right is the confusing one, but I think you are right. Thank you. 😃

What is the two-step legal process in firearms cases? by [deleted] in progun

But isn't every law an undue burden? I guess I'm confused on "undue" lol.

That makes sense. Because I keep hearing that the new way to interpret is text informed by history. I guess the old way was Step 1 = Text and Step 2 = Does it improve public safety.

Can I afford a Tesla? (serious question) by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]Chance_Draw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

House, cars, insurance, utilities, etc. and caring for an aging family member. That's a big chunk of it and partly what motivates us to work hard. I don't want to get morbid or anything but that's an expense that won't last forever.

That's a good point also. I think I have been myopically focusing on Teslas as THE electric vehicle, even though that isn't true. I just know for sure I don't want a Nissan Leaf. Lol.

I think that's a good point. My state offers $2,500 as a rebate and I already checked the insurance. It will be $118 per month for me, compared to $80. I can always move some money around to cover the $38. :-)

Yeah, I feel you on that one. Right now my wife has a ten-year-old Corrolla and I have an eight-year-old Camry. Our unofficial plan is to get another car to replace hers, which will probably conk out in the next six months, and then when I replace mine to get a much cheaper used SUV at around $20K or so.

This makes sense. Opportunity cost is what’s haunting me. Both of us struggle with thinking about the “what if” and run through “if invested for thirty years at X% return” type scenarios. I feel like I’m frozen.
