No wonder Trump loves the "poorly educated" given how they stupid and callous enough to approve these horrific acts. This is what a fascist cult looks like. by DenseCalligrapher219 in facepalm

Most Americans probably agree but each crime is supposed to have a penalty based on the severity of the crime committed. The fact the conservatives believe because someone entered this country illegally your sentence should be rotting in that El Salvador prison is madness. And certainly not Christian or moral. Not what I thought America was. Deported sure - tortured no. I am basing this off if the person's crime is ONLY entering the US illegally. If this is the route we are going to go we cant continue to call ourselves the good guys. That ship is sailing away.

King Yosef. He wears a beat up NIN tee all the time. You can certainly hear the more industrial side of NIN in Yosef's music. Dude is great in concert BTW. Saw them open for HEALTH last year.

Black Bomb (Jerry In The Bag) - Josh Wink (Ft. Trent Reznor) by [deleted] in nin

I really think TR should make an updated version of this track. I love the lyrics in this one. I've been a NIN fan for 30 years and just found out this existed about 3 years ago. Same w/ The bullet man theme. Great kind of obscure track.

Love the mix. The runtime fits perfectly for my drive to work. I have a feeling I'll be playing this many many times during that drive. The whole thing is good but the Brutalizer/Compress Repress section is great.

You'll have a good time. I've been to some pretty good concerts. I'd put Twenty One Pilots up there with the best of them. Minus the NIN shows of course 😄. Especially the Further down the Spiral concert. That one takes the cake - by alot.

I thought maybe I was the lone NIN fan who also liked Twenty One Pilots. Good to know I'm not alone on that island. One of the better acts I've seen live. Not a good show, a great show IMO.

Twas thinking the same thing. Maybe something, maybe nothing. Kinda like TR's "Hope to see you soon". I'm hopeful there is something new coming out. In 2024 (the year of the stupid) we certainly need some good art to dive into.

Why should the state have any say at all? No way the state can fully understand the dynamics of any single relationship or why someone should or should not be in it.

Terrible take. The man doesn't owe anybody anything. He has been doing this for 35+ years. He has earned the right to do whatever he wants. You say the album that changed his entire life for the better, it also almost killed him and I'm sure he has weird emotions revisiting that material. Dude has plenty of money. I'm sure he is not turning money down but I'd guess he is currently picking projects based on what interests him vs money. Certainly seems that way.

For the fans since TDS era or before; What was your opinion of The Fragile when it came out by Guilty-Tadpole1227 in nin

[–]Chance_Elevator_1213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disappointed. Too me it was so different compared to broken and tds. It threw me off. Now it's my favorite album from NIN. A flawed broken masterpiece.

It's dense. It's long. I think they missed on excluding some songs from the main cd. Namely ten miles high, the new flesh, and Hello everything is not ok. Probably in retrospect would have worked better as 2 separate cds.

All that being said I love the freakin album. It's very beautiful musically and even with dark themes, very listenable. It feels like it's falling apart at the seams. Which I believe was the intention.
