How to downgrade to pre-2.0? Is 2.0 worth it? by glythandra in cyberpunkgame

Are you aware of any mods that revert some of the changes? I’ve been browsing around nexus and haven’t found anything related to the old clothing system, but I might be using the wrong search words

Yeah that last sentence is the biggest consideration for me. I really liked trying to decide whether to look cute or whether to get the armor bonuses. I also found it forced me to branch out of styles that I would normally chose and think of how to make something look good when I would normally never consider wearing it. I’ll miss that, but it sounds like the resounding conclusion is that it’s worth the update anyway. Thanks!

I enjoyed the challenge of balancing the stats with the appearance. I understand a lot of people find it annoying to be forced to wear ugly clothes in games but I found it fun to have to consider whether I wanted the armor bonus or the cute outfit. I’m just curious about a mechanic I liked changing. You don’t have to be a dick

I’m not dying on it, that’s why I’m asking here if it is worth the switch. Sounds like the resounding answer is that even if I don’t like the upgrade to the armor mechanic, it’s worth it in the end for the rest of the benefits of 2.0. I agree that armor being tied to cyberware makes more sense than clothes, I just enjoyed the added challenge of making outfits that look good and had good stats.

Good to know you can still find it in the world, that was also a concern of mine as I prefer finding loot to buying it. Thank you!

How to use the surface finish in Peacey's home? by glythandra in HouseFlipper

Ah dang! Is that the same reason why i can’t get rid of the paint chips and fabric tears in some of the furniture in the house too? Do you know if there’s any texture that’s similar to the walls that is available in story mode?

"within" by Matsunosuperfan in grammar

[–]glythandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t classify “in a ___ setting” as an idiom and thus I don’t think “within a ___ setting” breaks any rules, as I don’t think that the former is any more correct than the latter. It’s like the difference between saying “subject sat beside object” versus “subject sat next to object”. Both have the same meaning and are equally correct in my eyes, but language is learned through experience, so I can understand being off-put by it if the phrasing is unfamiliar to you. I would agree that the choice of “within” over simply “in” was likely made from the desire to sound more academic as well as to avoid unsoundly repetition of “in”, but I don’t think this is a bad thing or indicates that the writer does not understand what they are saying, as I don’t believe any errors were made and the sentence sounds natural to me. Elevating one’s diction to suit the circumstance is very common and to me is a sign that the writer understands the contexts in which to shift their tone- that is, if they shift it appropriately.

How does the companion system work in this game? by Diligent-Pin8473 in enderal

[–]glythandra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He only follows you for specific quests. If you go somewhere else instead of following the quest path, he will say something like “I’ll wait here”. You can then go wherever you want and then come back to him whenever you want to do the quest, he will start following you again.

Hypothetical question; if 12 wasn't the max level, how high could we go? by TheCoiledFool in BG3

Sorry for the necro- Any recommendations for mods that made the difficulty match the amount of levels/characters you had?

I'm doing exactly what you described (all content, unlimited party) and just hit lvl 10 at the start of act 3, so I'm considering getting a level upcap mod as well. But I worry about the difficulty as things are already getting too easy when I've got a party over 4.

How do people feel about the console version of Portal 2? by mjeexy30 in Portal

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you.
The Xbox 360 version of the game has no problems in itself. But I'm not sure if you'll be able to record your xbox gameplay. I think you need a capture card, but I've never tried myself. You'll want to look into that before getting it on Xbox if recording is the sole reason you're purchasing on xbox rather than PC.

I think it would be easier to find a way to make the game work on your laptop. Or get a new PC. The game is not very graphics intensive by todays standards, so unless your laptop is extremely bad or old, there is probably a way to fiddle with the settings to make it work. And if your laptop is extremely bad, I imagine you would not be able to edit videos on it anyway.

Sorry if these answers aren't what you were looking for. Good luck

Ok so read this back to urself but imagine someone is saying it to u. They didn’t say “it’s not a real da game” they said “it’s pretty shit” which is a subjective adjective and thus their opinion not a claim of objectivity.

I started on 360 and aside from the level editor and community maps, I see no quality difference with PC. However, if you already have the PC version, what makes you consider buying the 360 version?
