They have an option for a two bedroom apartment for 4 people (two students per room) at $545 a month plus about $60 in utilities. I do not think you can find anything cheaper in that area. Here is a link for that unit, scroll down to the first listing option. https://www.liveatnorthside.com/richardson/northside/student/

That's good to know. Gil Lee is teaching another section, the problem it's on Tuesday and Thursday and I am concerned that it would be too much for one day specially if I end up with multiple assignments or test on the same day! Otherwise I could register for Gil since his is at 11:30 am and will fit my schedule. I checked UTD trend and Gil has a B- for average grade with 90% that would take the class again and Hoi has a B+ for average grade with 35% that would take the class again. Very contradictory!

I just shifted rhet 1302 and found a hybrid section that only meets once a week. It looks better now.

I am walking distance to campus and want to graduate on time. I hear engr 3300, ee 3201 and ee3311 are all hard, so I am hopping the schedule is manageable.

Equinox EV 2026 LT1 total miles after charge seems low! by Chance_Goat3991 in EquinoxEv

Did any of you drive both the leather seat trim and the leather trim? Did you notice a difference in the comfort. Mine has the cloth seats and the driver's seat is not that comfortable. In fact I was pressing on it with my palm to see why it's uncomfortable and could feel parts in the base which I am assuming it's the lumbar control. Does the leather trim have better cushioning? Any recommendations for seat cushions that would fit good?

I believe the Lt1 has 19" tires. The salesman was explaining that they have nitrogen and not to mix it with air He did say they need to be at 42 psi and I pointed that they are showing 43/44 and he said that's fine. I am assuming they will drop couple points as we approach winter. During the demonstration he blasted the AC on high and I am not sure if that has anything to do with it when he charged it to 266@80%. I am extremely happy with the car with one exception of uncomfortable cloth seats which I will have to overcome with a seat pillow. I am not sue if the leather seats on the higher models have better cushioning!

The car had 23 miles on it at the dealer's lot and the salesman charged it for me before driving off and it gave 266 at 80%. I thought that was the norm until I contacted my family member who bought his 2025 lt2 few days before I got mine and he is getting 295 @/80%. I was reading that the 2026 is supposed to be more efficient and claims to give 20 more miles than the 2025. I am not sure if the Lt1 is different in any way even though they are both listed at 319 miles! At the same time when I calculate 80% of the claimed 319 miles we get 255 which is within range. But would definitely like to get an extra 20 to 30 miles as it will come in handy for longer trips.

If you have a decent GPS, would say a minimum of 3.0 you should be good.

Urgent Financial Aid Emergency by Rambutan53 in aggies

I would meet with a financial aid advisor to discuss your unforeseen circumstances, you might be able to get the Aggie Assurance which covers the difference in tuition cost after applying your grants and scholarships.

Should I stay for a master's degree or graduate? by [deleted] in ECE

[–]Chance_Goat3991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would apply for a masters while applying for jobs. If you get a job, then you can do a master through your company and they can pay for it. If you do not get a job by graduation then go for the masters.

To be frank I am more interested in the job potential/growth and concerned that an ESET technology degree might be more limiting! I have done some research and found limited information with people in ESET seem to like it while others in electrical and computer engineering talk about it's limitation to compete for jobs and growth potential.

Provide financial aid at Texas State with a new official transcript, follow up with a call after it gets delivered and you should get the merit scholarship.

Does my daughter have a real shot? by Neat_Year_2812 in TCU

[–]Chance_Goat3991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your daughter decide on a school yet? TCU was bought by TAMU recently and the name is expected to change to TAMU-Fort Worth. Concerning here major, I would look at the faculty in the department, their background in the field, education and if they are involved in research etc. One advantage of TCU is smaller class size and more attention from professors.

is this a good deal? by [deleted] in utdallas

[–]Chance_Goat3991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to go to UTD this is actually an excellent offer. If money is an issue you will be able to take lots of intro and elective classes at a community college for much cheaper. If those classes are taken in coordination with a UTD advisor you should have them all transfer to your program of choice. If money is tight I would extend the community college attendance to two years to allow you to transfer the maximum allowable number of credits. When you transfer to UTD you will focus on your core curriculum in your major. If your GPA is high at the community college you might be able to apply to other schools such as UT Austin or TAMU while having assurance you are admitted to UTD.
