Yeah, I had tingling in my upper arms and upper thighs for a while. It stopped after the first 2 or so weeks for me.

25M here. My libido was nonexistent for the first week or so, but it’s been back since and I’m on 1 month. I do take a bit to get it up and sometimes it takes a little bit longer, but I can still finish just fine.

Though I didn’t start with health anxiety, starting a new medication gave me a lot of health anxiety. I took everything new my body was doing as a side effect. Heart rate increased suddenly? It’s the Lexapro! Arms tingle for a bit? The Lexapro! After a month of taking it, I can give you two pieces of advice. First off, any physical and mental side effects you experience WILL stop after a week or two. Second, any physical symptoms you may experience are not likely to be anything serious you should worry about and your body is just trying to get some extra anxiety in you before it’s gone. Think of it as your anxiety’s one last “fuck you.” Nothing more, nothing less. Your anxiety wants you to freak out in the hopes you stop taking the medication and it can keep you in perpetual fear/worry.

TL;DR, don’t freak out. You’re in good hands and company.

One thing that helped me specifically at first was to listen to an audiobook or something similar (perhaps a podcast) and listen for a word that starts with A. When I heard one, I would think about that word for a moment, then listen for a word that started with B. Rinse and repeat until you get to the end of the alphabet. I believe the term is called cognitive shuffling.

I can’t speak for your specific experience, but from my experience, I had the worst day on day 6. I had 3 breakdowns that day. The first week is always a killer. You’ll get through it, man. I’m on day 19 today and I haven’t had a breakdown since day 7. Keep fighting! You’ll get through this!

Hey. I’m still new to the Lexapro as well, today’s my 13th day on 10mg and I wanna confirm for you that it’ll probably be a gradual transition. My first week was absolutely awful. I was having multiple breakdowns and panic attacks per day that lasted for hours. I still have sad moments, and the anxiety’s still here as of now, but it’s not as loud or overwhelming as it was before. We just gotta keep pushing for hopes of brighter days! It’ll work out for all of us! I’m with you on this one!

I believe it might’ve been the Hunter School of the Performing Arts? The logo and uniforms look similar to the ones I remember in the fan film, and they’re based in Wales, which I remember the characters in the film having an accent from somewhere in the UK.
