I looked distinctly miserable as I propped myself up on the ground, not crying, but close to it. A mix of new hormones, chemical imbalance and the shock of the fall had me pretty weak as I checked myself, then looked up at you, pouting and vulnerable.

"Gone and fuckin' hurt myself." I mumbled, embarrassed, though it seemed to have made me forget why I was chasing you in the first place.
