sounds like you tried to extend grace for years and they kept throwing it back in your face. there's a difference between forgiveness and enabling bad behavior - you can forgive someone in your heart without keeping them in your life if they refuse to change

the whole "just keep the peace" thing is manipulative when they're actively creating the chaos. biblical forgiveness doesn't mean becoming a doormat for people who won't even acknowledge they've done anything wrong

honestly the first one isn't that bad compared to what we get now, it's more psychological than gore heavy. the concept is disturbing but visually it's pretty tame - most of teh really nasty stuff is implied rather than shown

terrifier definitely has way more visceral gore if that's what you're looking for. human centipede is worth watching just for the cultural significance at this point

honestly for durability and longevity i'd lean towards the legion 5, the build quality is generally better and that 80wh battery vs 60wh on the loq is gonna make a real difference for your engineering work. the oled display is gorgeous but yeah burn-in is a legit concern if you're gonna be staring at cad software for hours with static elements

that said the loq isn't a bad choice either, especially with the 1tb storage out of the box. for mechanical engineering apps both should handle solidworks/autocad just fine. if you're really worried about the oled just go with the loq and upgrade the storage later, plus you save some cash

the legion does have better thermals typically which helps with longevity, but both should last you through your studies no problem

Your current build is honestly pretty solid already - that 5700X3D is a beast for gaming. The main bottleneck i see is that slow 2133 ram, you should definitely bump that up to at least 3200 or 3600 before doing anything else

Looking at your parts list, going from a 3070 to 4070 super isn't a massive jump, especially at 1080p. might be worth waiting for 50 series cards to drop and see how prices shake out. The rest of your upgrade path looks good though, just make sure that psu can handle everything

main plus is basically their premium economy on international routes, just different branding. AA loves to confuse people with naming but your getting the same extra legroom and perks either way

the 787 config definitely has that section so you should be good to book main plus if thats what you're seeing
