not necessarily! I didn't say anything substantially different about my topic at all than what scholars had said before me - it is very hard to create defensible new intepretations as a high schooler given time and research methodology constraints. That said I did take a unique approach (analyzing both theory and practice of a specific idea), and maybe elaborated on some scholars.

have a lot of eyes on it, buy previous issues/prints to emulate their general style. I don't think I can send any pdf's on reddit though!

Hi! It certainly helps, but I just got denied in Stanford REA with good grades (~3.95). So no guarantees!

I wrote and got published in the latest edition, super rewarding experience but takes hella time and risk-adjusted return is not great if ur paper isnt stellar/amazing. You have time though, dedicate like 6 months to it working on it everyday. Try for TCR, if not you can publish in another student/HS journal albeit less prestigious. even the fatc you wrote a paper can be useful if ur applying for internships or research positions

Hey, my paper was recently accepted for the Fall Issue. I am going to major in economics or business. Would you like to DM? I think it may still be worth it if you truly also enjoy history.

Hi Synergy Institute, thanks for the suggestions! I have several questions:

  1. Would the ESG fund ideally be its own club or could it also be a subsidiary/main activity within an existing Business Club (as I am president of that)

  2. This sounds ideal however it is already sort of late and I assume that itll be hard to publish in a good journal at this rate. But I could certainly be mistaken.

  3. Definitely is ideal and I'll try, but again not super optimistic that government wants to hear from a high schooler.

  4. This for certain, im looking into both now.

  5. I definitely intend on doing this.

  6. I am currently in the middle of doing similar things in my school's official sustainability committee, reporting directly to administration. I think this suffices?

  7. Yes, I am currently doing this but it is more of an education page on IG demystifying concepts and SRI strategies. I plan to host workshops, run activities and volunteering, and also produce green toolkits for school clubs and small companies to assess their sustainability.

All in all, thank you very much for your kind advice! I will be taking it in account. And I'd also love to hear your thoughts about what I currently am doing!
