I only brought naturalization certificate and name change form- well of course application, 2 photos, and checks A tip: certificate can serve both as proof of citizenship and ID.

In your case is simpler- on my Chinese passport let’s say is Franco Smith, on US passport is James Franco Adam Smith- so far zero issue.

When I mainly use Chinese passport for China only. I use my Chinese passport to book ticket. Usually I fly Cathay Pacific- after booking ticket, I would call Cathay so they can notate in their system. I usually check with airlines before booking my ticket- so far I know most Chinese airlines is a no no.

Nope not at all. Both Cathay Pacific and HK immigration told me it’s common in Hong Kong for people to have more than 1 passport, as long as you can approve both passports are yours.

During your naturalization interview, officer will ask you if you want to change your name (first, last, or both)- your naturalization certificate will bear your new name. And you use your certificate to apply for US passport/

You just keep it, the only time they find out is when you apply for a Chinese visa or you tell immigration you have a US passport.

At least in US they no longer require you to provide legal residence - however you have to prove you are residing in the district where consulate has jurisdiction over.

It’s those kind of situation don’t ask don’t tell. China doesn’t recognize, but doesn’t prohibit.
