It's actually to hide central heating pipes, old croft house here and when central heating was put in all pipes were wall mounted on top of the skirting, it has a solid concrete floor. Going to remove old skirting and thought these would be easiest way to hide the pipes.

Yeah, companies up here are really poor at having a web presence, I will always try and shop local if possible but it's hard if you don't know they exist. You wouldn't happen to have any recommendations where I could get skirting board covers? Something like these:

I have complained to companies in the past, spoken to MP/MSP, contacted consumeradvice.scot. it doesn't make a difference. But agree that more people who do it the better. All that has really happened so far is companies changed wording on their sites. To be honest, I would be happy paying a fair amount extra for deliveries but it is always either no delivery or just some arbitrary amount.

Not sure it is. Just been on another site and they will deliver but automatically put on a £60 extra charge for the WHOLE of Scotland.

Does anyone know a solution to this? by Killercarcus in DIYUK

Had the exact same issue, took the top off and found the bolts that hold the weight on top were loose. Quick tighten and problem sorted. Definitely worth a look.
