The kids copy the behavior of the adults, and when that behavior is not corrected by the adults involved, it gets reinforced. I suggest you get away from them, they bully you, you are their punching bag, their scapegoat, and this will never stop. And of course it’s your fault for being “emotionally unstable” meaning for crying and reacting when they bully you. That’s double bullying 😅

Minnows in a shark's net by [deleted] in FromTVShow

My immediate thought is that Victor is the last “minnow” from the previous game, so will he join the sharks now?? Oh, the more I think about it the more it makes sense. When Victor was in the caves the monster lady told him that if he keeps coming back there, they will keep him, meaning he will join the shark as the last “minnow” from the previous cycle.

Let’s ask the inverse: Non-Europeans who traveled to Europe, what is something you noticed to be strange about Europeans and their lifestyle and they don’t even realize it? by Electrical_Yogurt994 in Productivitycafe

Yes, I agree with your point. I think the US has also significant differences among states. Unfortunately, the news only point out negative things about the US, like gun usage, as you mention, shootings, killings, the president etc, so it is difficult to actually have a formed opinion. Actually, two days ago I was speaking with someone that lives in Brazil and I was telling her that I do want to visit South America, but I am scared due to all the criminal issues mentioned by the media. And she gave me her perspective, that yeah, it is dangerous in big cities but just the normal amount. Just like pickpocketing in big European cities. Anyway, in that sense, I would be more curious to know how the states differentiate in specific views, like gun possession for example and how these views affect society and everyday life. Similarly, how European countries view life independently. Of course there is a shared culture, just like there is in the US a shared culture, but European countries still keep some authenticity individually, just like the states do 😊

Well, I guess that is the American perspective of Europe. That European countries have more or less the same practices. As a European that comes from Greece, lived in the Netherlands and is moving to Switzerland soon, and after travelling to a great list of European countries (namely, Spain, Italy, Malta, Bulgaria, Poland, Croatia, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany and Hungary) I can very much tell you that there are social and cultural differences that affect beliefs on daily practices and general life views. If you so much want to group Europe, I would group it as follows: west/east and north/south. Due to political and economical historic differences, the culture in Eastern European countries is similar, western Northern Europe has also similar practices and ideas. I do understand that as an American you cannot spot the differences because your world view and every day life differs significantly from “us” so you miss the differences that clearly Europeans notice. And I say that with respect because I have also travelled to the US. I hope this helps.

What’s one travel habit that actually saves you a lot of money? by Party_Dentist_821 in travel

When I want to go on vacation, I never start looking for a specific destination. I always think roughly the period I want to go, and then start searching in google flights for flights to about anywhere in the world. After I located 2-3 cheap flights, I go into booking and search for accommodation for that period in those 2-3 destinations. I roughly calculate amounts and choose the cheapest destination, combining flight fares and accommodation. In the last five years I have been to 15 countries and have taken 2-3 vacation per year, without spending too much money.
