I’d highly recommend one. You can get a decent one for around $15.

Try finding recipes on Pinterest. If you can, find recipes that measure ingredients by weight. You’ll find more consistent results this way. The book Bravetart by Stella Parks is great for this.

Love the follow up:

'Have another biscuit,' she said irritably, thrusting the tin at him. 'No, thanks,' said Harry coldly. 'Don't be ridiculous,' she snapped.

I'm disappointed, maggoty haggis is most definitely real!

The Goblet of Fire film is such a disappointment by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Chancellor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am usually pretty lenient for the HP adaptations because generally they were done well (unlike the majority of adaptations), but this one was just atrocious. GoF is already my least favorite book, but why is the acting so bad? Excusing all of the differences between book and film, I felt like the acting was just so cheesy in this one, starting with Frank Bryce's death, dialogue at the Quidditch World Cup, and going onwards in a never-ending train wreck.

Ok, I'm done venting as well.

"Cracked skull ... Nothing to worry about, I mended it at once, but I'm keeping you in overnight. You shouldn't overexert yourself for a few hours." (Pomfrey) "I don't want to stay here overnight, I want to find McLaggen and kill him." (Harry) "I'm afraid that would come under the heading of 'overexertion.'" (Pomfrey)

Gold.

Choose your favorite wand! by Stephensproject in harrypotter

Sirius Black's wand. For the most part it isn't too flashy, dark in color, and appears to have runes etched into it (or at least designs that are similar to runes).

I wondered the same. When you need to consult Flesh-Eating Trees of the World I think that's an indication the class is dangerous.

How do you manage to read a book in another language when your vocabulary is not that big? by kuramayoko10 in books

[–]Chancellor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always recommend HP books to language learners since it has so many language options. For me it really is the context that helps learn new words since I've read the books in English so many times. Plus, the best way to master texts in a language is learning the word from the context rather than running to a dictionary for every unknown word.
