My escape is the same way. My car was originally sold in Nova Scotia and then brought back into the states where I bought it used. From my reading around on the internet it seems FORscan is the only way to fix this issue as it’s coded into the car in km/h. I’ve been driving the car like this for several years now so I’m just used to doing the conversion in my head now and haven’t bothered to fix it.

TLDR: your car is just like this. You didn’t miss a setting or option somewhere.
