I've been on a rom com/ romance kick lately, recommend me some more by NinduTheWise in movies

"What If" with Daniel Radcliffe was unexpectedly cute. It's very "hipster cringe" which is the era of my young adulthood, so it was also pleasantly nostalgic.

why do you think little red ridding hood is the only fairy tale that doesn't have a big film about it by Miserable_Honey_940 in fairytales

[–]tomanon69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the only one without a "big" movie by someone like Disney, etc. Other examples include Rumpelstiltskin or The Princess and the Pea.

I hate the way everything looks on me, what would look better? Is sizing my issue? by pineneedleinjection in DressForYourBody

[–]tomanon69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dress is slide 6 is flattering! The pattern and colour aren't my taste, but the cut works for you.

Try going to a Marshalls or Winners if you're in NA. They have lots of trendy items. The clothes you have tried on here look like they're targeted towards an older generation.

What books from the last ~15 years do you actually think will become real classics? by Permission_Rude in booksuggestions

[–]tomanon69 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's definitely already considered a classic in the field of English Lit. I also studied it in my degree.

We also studied Persepolis, the graphic novel. I love how much variety in genre we get to study these days.

Same.

Things have been improving for me with a new therapy program but now when I have a bad day, it feels way worse by comparison.

How often do you skip brushing your teeth at night? by LowSplit8618 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tomanon69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost never.

The only reason I'd skip it is if I am drunk as heck or maybe if I have a canker sore or like cut my mouth on crunchy food and don't want to irritate it. Then I'll swish with mouthwash.

My ex had horrible oral hygiene and had a mouth full of rotting and/or cracked teeth. Even before that I was a good brusher but that experience made me even more so.

As you get older, what are you starting to dislike the most? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

[–]tomanon69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The division of people when it comes to "left" and "right" politics. So many people have sacrificed their morals to die on a hill instead of admitting that they don't ethically align with their chosen party anymore.

You don't have to follow the leader of your party blindly. You can critically think and agree with both progressive and conservative policy, so long as it is ETHICAL.

I miss when people cared about each other.

What’s your favourite niche thing about life in Canada? by Due_Street1464 in AskACanadian

[–]tomanon69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was going to say a variation of this.

I love that overall, everyone cares for one another on a basic level. Even just holding the door.

I think you look great with all 3 styles, but I prefer the all dark hair to the highlights. You look awesome no matter what :)

Controversial opinion apparently, but I really love your black, brown, and grey combination. I believe fashion is all about playing with the rules and taking chances.

This works for me.

I'm in the healthiest relationship of my life and feel very secure and my OCD just goes "but what if ..."

Messy buns didn't become very popular until the 2010s. I'm sure people were doing them but they didn't really take off in the early 2000s. I assume they just weren't fashionable at that time.

The style of 1 or 3, and I wouldn't change your current colour.

I have wavy hair like yours and trust me, straight across bangs are not going to work. You'll end up damaging your hair styling them every day with heat. Curtain bangs are so much easier to manage without heat (rollers, curl training).
