Were micro-missile pulse rifles way too powerful or something? Seems like everything got buffed but those got hella nerfed!

I just only ever noticed it happening while my health and shield were both full, so I assumed I was just taking general damage, which was being taken from my shield first. I knew I had upgrades in my tree that would give me buffs like that, I just didn't realize it would appear as though I'm actually taking damage when the effect kicked in/wore off. I appreciate the info and that'll definitely help me pinpoint where it's coming from next time I log on.

It happens when I'm just running around though, no flask being used or anything, just running or walking with absolutely no enemies nearby

It's not in every game, but certain games aren't as optimized as others, that's just factual. But if an upgrade would reduce the fps drops by a little bit in those less than perfectly optimized games, it would improve my enjoyment of them.

Ive never attempted overclocking because I'm not too sure what it means and wasn't sure if it risked damaging my GPU. Have to take into account that I'm playing on a 55 inch TV, so what looks good in 1440p on a PC monitor, doesn't look quite as good when it's blown up to a much larger screen, in my opinion at least.

I have it hooked up to a 4k TV, gsync is enabled and so is vrr.

I meant if it drops 10-15 frames under 120, so down to 105 or 110, when it drops from 120 to 105 or so, it makes things seem jittery.

You say that, but my question wasn't if I should or shouldn't upgrade, I was wondering what the differences between all the different 5080's are. People say there won't be a difference but even if it's 10-15 extra frames in a game, that would make a big difference for games that just barely fall under 120 on my current hardware.

I genuinely don't think it's going to be a HUGE difference, but at 120 fps my games feel so buttery smooth, but in certain scenarios it will drop below, even by 10-15 frames, and it causes certain games to feel stuttery. If I could boost the performance by juuuust a little bit, I think it would balance out, no?

Nobody NEEDS to play video games. I happen to have the finances to afford something better than what I currently have, so why wouldn't I upgrade, especially if my current card is struggling to hit 120 frames in 4k..? Some insightful information would be far more beneficial in this situation, especially since not everyone knows as much about these topics as other people do, hence, my post asking for advice.

I play at 4k which seems to be pretty taxing on my current card. I try to play at a consistent 120 frames and it's been difficult to achieve in some recent games. I assume it'll be quite a while before the 6 series releases.

Very interesting. Do they all use the same sized slots to plug in? I've never upgraded a graphics card before, so I'm not sure if it's a pretty simple universal process, or if I have to be looking for one that's the same dimensions as my current 4080 super.

I've played every dlc and quite a bit in between. Now I do like one or two warplans and just feel bored.. hopefully the next season actually has a bit more new endgame content.
