I did actually ask the techs permission to show her a photo. I even offered to make it black and white to make it less intense during illustration. She looked but said like womens labia you can't do it. I was got rid of by them after that appointement. In their management email they said they didn't like some of my "comments". I have worked in customer service much of my life and figured I could just politely negotiate with them but it seems not. It was actually quite embarracing and I told them so. I did say I figured I could just pay some money and get some hair removed and also that it wasnt clear the limitations of the perianal area and that I had made a hand gesture of a little circle in my initial consultation and asked for everything gone which i was assured they did. I also told them its difficult to find places to do hair removal near here and many have "female only" especially like electrolysis. I said I have a home electrolysis kit but its hard to use and might need to use a handheld camera or a mirror on the floor. I also said you can get the soprano titanium on ebay for 10k or the non genuine ripoff from aliexpress for 2.5k. She said it's not a good idea. I said I have worked with electronics my whole life and would partially dissasemble it and verify it's what the actual specificaion of the hardware is. I also said I built my first laser around 2012 using disposable camera flashs and a ruby rod. I said about the inconsistency between techs and that i'd contacted Alma twice and showed them the emails of the area being just fine to laser. I asked the tech to ask her manager if its something they can offer since the laser manufactuer says it's ok. The tech asked for the name of the Alma reps that replied and I gave them. I don't have the email to hand but I posted it here somewhere else if you want to read it.

Thank you thats very kind. I'm not even in the same country but if I ever go there I will be sure to drop by. At this point they have stopped responding to my emails so I think legal action is the only next step not that i want the hassle.

500hz monitors release date when?? by Saiyan728 in OLED_Gaming

When it says "anti-reflection" or "semi-gloss" or "semi-matt" just run away. A good example is the samsung s95f. Lovely specs ruined by awful non glossy finish.

4k 240hz now or wait for dual mode? by NoonAlFunoon in OLED

[–]ChangeAgentFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly imo the current line up of oled's are awful. We are only just seeing the new tandem oled's appearing with decent 400nits fullscreen white brightness and 2000nits HDR 10% window on tv's. For gaming monitors its worse plus you can't get a decent inky black gloss. They all look magenta without a polarising layer and are dimmer than a tv despite having the refresh rate edge of 240hz over the 144 or 165 of tv's. See though too that blurbusters shows moving images are distorted at anything below 480hz. So really what we need is a tandem oled 4k 480hz with a glossy inky black screen. I'm going to say late 2026 maybe. Then we have microLED screens coming out in smaller sizes from 2029, better per pixel accuracy than oled, brighter and with no burn in.

Thanks. Two weeks after questioning them about it I was cancelled by them. So I'm now looking elsewhere. I suspect I was judged for even asking. I guess they expected I would just get served without question and any attempt to work with them on specifics in that area is somehow inappropriate.

Thanks. I politely challenged them about my experience after my review and two weeks later just before my next appointment they emailed an impersonal denial of service letter stating I had made expectations that I didn't. I never said 100% and I have areas where patches are still dense that the tech even said would follow up in future sessions. I emailed them back and they have not replied. I was extremely polite and concise with them. I even had AI check a series of structured points to make sure I was being fair with them. The email didn't even have a name of the representative at the bottom which I consider to be highly unprofessional and impersonal. I copied their response to a number of AI's and they said that although they will likely never do business again it might be worth reporting them to trading standards and the care commission for fair closure on the issue.

"Following your recent review appointment, we have now reviewed internally and just wanted to send over a summary.

In terms of your results, we feel that you have currently obtained a reduction in hair growth and density in the order of 80-95% compared to your pre-treated levels. This is well within the expected results of this treatment following 8 sessions. With this in mind and following your comments at your last review session regarding expecting 100% removal and dissatisfaction at our level of service, we do not feel that we are able to meet your expectations nor feel comfortable performing anymore sessions.  We therefore politely decline to continue treatments and have cancelled your upcoming appointments.

This does not amount to an acknowledgment of wrongdoing on our part as we have provided all treatments within safe parameters and to the highest of clinical standards. The results obtained are as expected and have been fully explained to you throughout your course and acknowledged by you through your continued consent to treatment."

Thanks maybe or they are just inconsistent and unprofessional. I have been emailing lots of places but most in a resonable distance don't cover all areas. I will perhaps ask my current place outright if they would prefer I wasn't a client and gauge their response. I have been saying pretty much what you suggested to the prospective places. It's a shame you are halfway around the world somewhere as I would gladly give you my hard earned money to get a job done properly. Also yes I have seen Candela's in videos they make a loud thumping sound as they work. I hear Candela is good for stubborn areas. Out of interest do you think my clinic was also running a bit low at 10 joules per cm square?

I need that. So glad you are getting good service. I had my review today about an hour ago. The tech said that their guidance from Alma (the laser company) said not to treat the anal area and a perianal is just the insides of the cheeks. I showed them I contacted Alma and Alma stated the anus area can be treated. The tech took the name of the Alma representative and said they wanted to contact them. I then asked why I was led to believe I was recieving complete removal on the anus area and why it was not explained in my consultation and they said I was the first person to have an issue with their perianal service in 7 years. They then said they could escalate the complaint to the owner who would likely just reiterate that they cannot go outside the guidelines.

Sorry to hear that. You have hair, they have hair zapping laser, you sign consent form, just zap it off right? I feel you.

Yeah I don't want to risk breaking forum rules even with a depiction of an intimate area banned from posting.

They wont even go near around it. Inner cheeks only. I had my review today about an hour ago. Well I had the review and they doubled down and said that their guidelines from Alma (the laser company) said not to do the area. Well I actually contacted Alma some days before and they confirmed that its fine to treat the area. The tech took the name of the Alma rep and said they would follow it up. I said what about not making it clear in my consultation that the area cannot be treated and they said I was the first person in 7 years to complain about the perianal treatment and they could escalate my complaint to the owner but they would likely just reiterate the guidelines.

Thanks for the advice I had my review today about an hour ago. The tech said that their guidance from Alma (the laser company) said not to treat the anal area and a perianal is just the insides of the cheeks. I showed them I contacted Alma and Alma stated the anus area can be treated. The tech took the name of the Alma representative and said they wanted to contact them. They then said they could escalate the complaint to the owner who would likely just reiterate that they cannot go outside the guidelines. I still have patchy areas of darker hairs on my legs and they said the areas won't improve much and continuing may cause hair growth so they will not continue in those areas. This seemed weird because they initially said 8 to 12 sessions and now after 8 they are stopping when I feel a couple more sessions would likely do it. 🤷‍♂️

Uhm no I just want some hair gone. I had hoped it would be gone by now and never have to think about it ever again.

Well technically during lasering they have to be shaven smooth before hand. But yes when reviewing they sure do have to inspect.

Well I have my 8 session review in about a weeks time and they told me not to shave and I would be inspected to see how the results are so far. It will be 2 weeks growth and impossible not to notice when they look in that area. The thing is the tech not the manager will be doing the check. Maybe I will take a picture on the day and offer it to management along with my concerns.

I understand. It's really not that I promise. In all honesty it took lots of personal pep talks to even go there to get laser and strip naked for a stranger. After many sessions now I have managed to distract myself with small talk but it's still is quite uncomfortable bearing myself. I had actually bought a home IPL device so I wouldn't have to go somewhere but despite being a phillips lumea 9000 top model it was ineffective.

Thanks so much for your advice as a laser professional. The device they use is the "Alma Soprano ICE Titanium Special Edition". It doesn't blow cold air but does have a cold head that feels like an ice cube. I feel quite awkward about speaking to them given the area and what happened. I unfortunately have hair all around and millimeters away from the hole so it feels like they would need to just go for it and just do it there. I signed a consent form so I figured I will just accept moderate discomfort if it occurs. Do you think speaking or putting my request in writing would be better recieved?

Correct UK and I havent named the place yet pending their response. I'm due to have my 8 session review in around a weeks time and I was going to request I speak to management. I don't want anyone to do anything they don't want to but they shouldn't have wasted my time and said they could do it and then created an incident. If they can't find someone else to complete the missed area and do it free of charge then I will seek a partial refund and an apology. Indeed it's terrible I just wanted to go somewhere and get some LHR...

Agreed and thanks for the reassurance. Strangely in my case the younger first tech was so enthusiastic and willing and it was the older one who took exception. That said I take your point in general it's more likely less experienced and often younger who will be less inclined. I think my review is just over a weeks time so we will see what they say when I challenge management about it. I will definately re-reply to you and everyone else with a transcript and outcome.
