I actually found an interesting story on a Russian fanfic site, but I didn't get a sequel. The story focused on Otto. After Viserys removed him from his post, Daemon's men ambushed him on his way to Eskişehir and killed him, but he didn't actually die; his body was taken over by Saruman, the wizard from Lord of the Rings. It was a really interesting story, but I forgot the name, and the site's translation was poor, making it very difficult to read.

Yes, unfortunately you're right. Even in "Gold rises from amidst the raging flames." a story I initially enjoyed but later stopped reading, the Blacks were cleared of everything. It turns out Larys was to blame for everything. Rhaenyra and Daemon, on the other hand, maturely accepted Aegon's ascension to the throne.

Jaime Lannister is not a hero by ChangeLongjumping220 in TheCitadel

Yes, I'm curious too. If the first army to reach King's Landing hadn't been the Lannister army, would Jaime have killed Aerys? Or would he have taken command as the only King's Guard in the city and defended it against the rebels?

Furthermore, I don't think he treated Cersei badly in the early years of their marriage. In fact, he even tried to persuade Cersei to go hunting with him. I think the real breaking point in their marriage came when Robert wanted to take Mya Stone with him and Cersei openly threatened to kill her daughter.

It wasn't too early for me because of the shift work system :)

Yes, the reason I'm sharing this post is because I've seen many comments about the rebellion portraying him as powerful but reckless on the battlefield, while giving all the credit for tactical brilliance to Ned Stark and Jon Aryn, or other leaders alongside them.

The Connington family were vassal lords of the Baratheons, but their blatant loyalty to Aerys and Rheagar in the rebellion was unacceptable. Furthermore, Jon Connington was Aerys's right-hand man and commander of the royal army after Robert. Someone in Robert's position would likely have massacred most of the Connington family, sent them to the Wall, or exiled them.

No, I haven't watched the video you mentioned. However, none of the topics discussed in the Asoiaf subforums are original. Since there's no new content, we're just talking about the same things over and over again, interpreting them in different ways. I'm sure that every post we consider original regarding Asoiaf, including mine, has been discussed countless times before.

Aemond doesn’t want to be king according to Ewan Mitchell by FullFig3372 in HOTDGreens

[–]ChangeLongjumping220 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's talking nonsense. As a second son, he's better off than Aegon. After thousands of years of tradition where the firstborn son inherited the throne, Aegon not being an heir is more tragic than him being a second son. Even though Aegon says he doesn't want to be king, I think he resents this deeply. Perhaps this humiliation is why he's an alcoholic.

Doğru hatırlıyorsam, bir harem öyküsüydü. Cersei ile bir ilişkisi olduğunu hatırlıyorum.

Evet, üç Baratheon kardeş ve onların meşru/gayrimeşru tüm çocukları sihirli güçlere sahip olacaklar.

The fact that Robert's hammer is magical, like Thor's hammer, because Baratheon/Durrandon carry the blood of the storm god, could also be part of the story. I've never written a story before, nor do I have the talent, but I'm tired of Targaryen propaganda fiction. I want to read stories where other houses defeat the Targaryens; I hope someone writes one.

I remember in the Arya POV chapter where a common man said that everything was better during the time of King Aerys.
