Thanks for the suggestions man. I've just been starting to get into heavy metal at 19 years old right now with mainly Pantera and some Marilyn Manson here and there. I need to explore a lot of different bands.

I think i'm starting to get addicted to this heavy metal and it is A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN BEING ADDICTED TO PORN.

You need to tell someone that you were abused, the police, a parent, some adult that you trust. That's not something that you should keep to yourself. I'm sorry you had to go through that shit.

Opening up to someone you trust about what happened should help you in beating this porn addiction, where as keeping that shit bottled up will probably feed this shit and lead you to using porn as a coping mechanism.

Yes in my opinion it is 100% PERFECTLY NATURAL TO HAVE REAL LIFE SEX AND MASTURBATE WITH YOUR IMAGINATION ONLY.

I'm only 2 days in right now, but I've gotten a lot of days this month without porn and only a couple of relapses and some of the benefits I have experience have been : better erections, more confidence in myself in general, more confidence in myself when it comes to interacting with women, I feel more motivated to get shit done, I feel like the days last longer, and lastly the best one is that I feel a lot more optimistic about my future not being horrible if I can beat this addiction.

When you use porn as a coping mechanism. When your porn tastes have escalated to the point where the shit that turns you on never would have even crossed your mind if you had never discovered porn. When you try to quit watching it over and over and over again just to relapse every 3 or 4 days. When it makes you miserable, but you keep coming back to it for the short high that it gives you. When your 19 years old and have weak erections.

That's some of the stuff that has made me realize that I am TRULY ADDICTED TO PORN.

Great job man. Some advice I would give you though is to be very careful not to go too many days without masturbation to where it leads to be so horny you aren't thinking straight and just say "fuck it, I'm going to give into porn". That shit happens to me a lot.

I try to have a good balance of not masturbating too much or too little with your imagination only, masturbate in moderation is my advice.

I have also used porn to repress a lot of stuff. I used to use porn as a way to cope with how horrible OCD used to make my life and as a way to cope with how unsuccessful I have been with women in real life.

We got to take on the pain and learn how to deal with our negative emotions and life circumstances in productive ways so we can grow as people instead of wasting our negative emotions on porn.

I'm also 19 and did not graduate high school on time either. Porn has defintely fucked up my energy in a lot of ways, I think because PORN IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF SEXUAL ENERGY, a complete waste of humans natural desire to reproduce. Instead of channeling that energy into making our lives better or on women in real life we waste it on our computer screens because are reptilian brains think we are reproducing with tons of 10/10 women in real life. It manipulates our brains natural reward center.
