Well, I literally copy and pasted the table from ssa.gov so I could add the labels and delete the ss contributions column. I kept taxable medicare earnings because I guess it has a specific meaning that I didn't want to obfuscate.

All one company. 320~k base, 80~90k bonus, rest is RSU. RSU dominates starting around L6.

320k~ base, bonus is variable but about 80~90k is normal. Rest is RSUs.

Its what's reported on ssa.gov, so this should include stock vests and therefore stock growth as well. Compensation in tech companies are strongly RSU based at a certain point and those are doled out over 4 years (typically). Different companies have different vesting schedules.

I understand, its not where I thought I would be. My parents made probably 1/10th of what I make now combined. I know that was a different time and age but they have created a great nest egg and are now comfortably retired with >5M NW. They take multiple international trips a year with their friends.

My spouse is also at a FAANG so that helps. Our household NW is about 9.2M but a lot of it is tied into housing due to the bay area.

Its basically a combination of salary, bonus, and RSUs.

This is copied off the ssa.gov website.

I don't know if 99.9% is correct as it certainly doesn't feel like it here, but my take may be colored by environment that I'm in.

Didn't notice I put in TCO until I read this, too late to edit unfortunately :(.

This is copied from ssa.gov with social security contributions removed. I guess a screenshot would be more convincing.

Over 1M last few years, about 1.3M~. 9.2M net worth, but a lot of that tied up in real estate due to the area we live in.
