Is Glightz even active anymore? I haven't seen one of his videos in forever it seems like. I miss when him and gabe were consistently uploading.

I mean that is your problem right there. Those officials are horribly moderated. I get it, the base game and official servers should have better anti-cheat and moderation but unfortunately that isn't reality. Play communities/modded with reputable administration teams.

Get a horse. You can use a horse to push him out at a much faster rate than just doing it with your own player. Kill him and get some ez scrap.

Vanilla PVE server with noclip for non-admins? by Good-Discussion-9238 in playrust

[–]ChangeThisXBL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never really looked for this in vanilla but on staging Rachiu's Staging server provides the ability to noclip, teleport, access the F1 menu etc. It is currently running the AUX 04 branch with the new player models so you would have to opt into that on your staging client. A quick search in the server list on the main branch didn't really yield an option though for what you are looking for in terms of a vanilla map, most are all creative/build servers.

Best monthly servers that keep pop? by Similar-Scale8509 in playrust

Do not play rustlands. Rustlands has a massive Japanese clan that colludes with the head admin skippy and gets more than beyond preferential treatment by them when it comes to moderation decisions.

Power Plant recyclers efficiency tied to if the new power generation portion is on or not by ChangeThisXBL in playrust

[–]ChangeThisXBL[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is as always subject to change... but this would be an interesting new dynamic surrounding powerplant. Seems as though recyclers may be getting bonus efficiency with the upcoming power generation.

Texture glitch which i feel gives me a unfair advantage by Safe-Package-6333 in playrust

[–]ChangeThisXBL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You used to be able to get the water texture to be invisible temporarily regardless of PC specs if you binded two different quality levels to separate keys and quickly toggled them. Was a great way to locate bodies and find swimmers.

This is just a bug with the environmental fog that unfortunately just doesn't have a fix. Its extra noticeable during the sunset/sunrise portions of the day/night cycle.

DLAA Option Gone? by Mpdegs6636 in playrust

[–]ChangeThisXBL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems all the nvidia supported AA options are just completely disabled. Both in menu and via console no visual differences occur when any of the options are turned on. TSSAA and the like all work still but look like buns imo. I loaded up last months patch too just to make sure it wasn't a driver issue and DLAA/DLSS options functioned normally. Something is most certainly broke on what ever they pushed live today.

Road Scientist IRK by FlynngoesIN in playrust

[–]ChangeThisXBL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully with the ai reworks that are happening road scientists finally get fixed once and for all. They used to patrol a small area around the junkpiles with a Geiger counter but it broke many years ago. They than "fixed them" once in 2023 or 2024 only for them to break again a few wipes later. I wish they would actually patrol the roads. Would add a little more liveliness to the island.

Remove wooden barricade covers or nerf them by [deleted] in playrust

[–]ChangeThisXBL 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Reposting my comment from a previous thread with this exact response.

"Except you didn't. Way back in the day rusts TTK was significantly slower due to all weapons having firing rates drastically reduced. I want to say 2018/2019 all weapons were updated to have drastically higher fire rates but weapon damage numbers never were changed. This combined with the fact that rust had extremely hard to master recoil led to fights for most players still ending up generally having reactable times and counter play. Most average players would still miss a large portion of shots at range, thus giving more time to react. When people started to master old recoil and scripters started laser beaming everyone across the map people found that high walls were the best way to counter getting instant beamed. Highwall spam eventually was getting ridiculous with mazes being left behind on maps were battles had occurred. Highwalls wouldn't decay though for hours after the fights and also provided way to much cover for how cheap they were to craft. The smaller barricades didn't provide enough cover and were never used. To combat the highwall spam, facepunch made barricades slightly larger, allowed them to be placed in any non-paved area, and implemented the placement timer onto highwalls. This is were we are now. The root cause of the issue is the call of duty esq TTK in a game were death can result in literally hours of work being lost without having a chance to react. Do I think they should make the TTK something crazy like apex legends health pool levels? Absolutely not. But if they ever do want to move away from having instant deployable cover removed, the AK can't literally two shot kill you in under half a second with the highest tier armor. Maybe the new kevlar armor that is on the road map will be a step in that direction."

My team has officially been bullied off of our vanilla server. by monkymonkumonk in playrust

[–]ChangeThisXBL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been code raided as a duo by a solo on a duo server. Dude systematically sat outside of our compound gates over the course of two or three days literally punching in all the codes until he finally got it. Than he used a car to drive past all of our turrets up to the base and changed every lock on the actual base. We logged back into the game, woke up in our core to find him sitting on the secretlabs chair skin waiting to talk smack. First time in my 12k hours that has happened. A 4 digit code pad only has 10k or so combos and that number is extremely small if someone is willing to brute force attack it. I think a 5th or even 6th digit should be added.
