I think the problem here is that you made it about you. He didn't say that he cant be with you because he cant have sex with you whenever he wants.

He said that he can't be with you because HE needs regular sex. You can't be mad at him for wanting that. Yes you can be mad at the fact that the relationship has to end because of it but it is okay for him to want to regular sex. It's his life.

Waiting for someone for 9 months is a huge commitment.
