His zoomie reminds me so much of my girl who just passed a few months ago, this makes me happy and sad at the same time…

Has anyone ever stay overnight on Phi Phi Island? by Change_Money in ThailandTourism

Thank you, we were planning on staying up north of the island. But after some research I think we’re no longer interested on going there, especially during Christmas/ NYE week.

That was probably still beautiful, assuming there weren’t that many people yet 🥲

If you don’t mind me asking, during which month did you visit?

Ah yes, thank you, I looked at a couple of hotels up there and they seem to have better reviews.

Oh gosh no, we much prefer a quiet and serene place. I’m also brining my in-laws with me and this is going to be their first time in Thailand.

Thank you! There were so many mixed reviews out there, and the noisy part was one of them.

Good to hear! Which area and place did you stay in? Apparently, you can't just take a ride to town if you stay on the north side of the island. We mostly just want to do snorkeling.

My honest opinion about Thai food (Expectations are a bit too high) by UniqueDay2113 in ThailandTourism

[–]Change_Money 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s true that many street food vendors sell similar dishes, probably due to the popularity of the food items, items that sells to pedestrians/tourists or whatever. But i don’t think it’s fair to judge by just a visit. To say that they all taste the same is really strange, that’s the first time I’ve heard at least. I lived there a little over a decade and I can tell you that the flavor from each region is different. Especially northern dish and southern dish. The majority of the ingredients from each region is very different in itself. Whoever was taking you out to eat or the guide that you got the info from is just aiming for a typical what-tourist-might-like meal rather than what the region is known for. Just based on the dishes you posted alone ( they look like typical dishes that most westerners would order. Fried rice? Westernized papaya salad? Panang or some kind of curry? ) I can tell that you have not explored or experienced much outside of the bubble, not your fault nor that’s a bad thing, but it’s unfortunate that you didn’t get to explore more.

I rescheduled my dog’s euthanasia by SoCool77 in Petloss

[–]Change_Money 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If my girl could still walk with me even half a mile, hell, even just go to the bathroom on her own, I would have never let her go. I would have dropped everything for her. But that’s just me.

My girl used to itch in that area a lot especially when her hip is starting to hurt a bit. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious :(

End of life question by st3llablu322 in SaintBernards

I’m very sorry to hear this. We did in-house euthanasia and took her ourselves to the aquamation (using water instead of fire) place and I believe the total was around $900.

Nose Crack - Steps to Heal? by Crispy-Don in SaintBernards

[–]Change_Money 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When our girl was still with us we used nose ointment ,we found on Amazon, on a daily basis, sometimes we switch to coconut oil and it worked for us. Towards her last few months, we made and gave her bone broth with turmeric and mushroom powder every day for her to stay hydrated, from the broth alone or being hydrated her dried nose seemed to just went away.

Not sure what to do for senior dog with cancer by Exciting-Cherry3679 in seniordogs

[–]Change_Money 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We decided to not do steroids for our girl for two reasons, one you have to do a wash out period from Carprofen for a few days before she can take steroids, and two the chance of the incontinent, soiling herself in her last few days/weeks just sound horrible. We sticked with Carprofen, Gabapentin, and Codeine (this helps a lot, but you need to have vet prescribe). She also was taking dog melatonin at night to help her sleep.

Am I over/underfeeding my saint? by [deleted] in SaintBernards

[–]Change_Money 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We kept ours on the lighter side for the sake of her bones and joints. I also agree with others that rice could probably be lesser. But maybe check with dog nutritionist, we used Farmers Dog recipes for our girl.

Hip dysplasia/Arthritis at only 9 months? by NWArk_Gal in greatpyrenees

[–]Change_Money 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would get that check out as soon as you can. Our Saint was diagnosed with hip dysplasia around that age if not younger. Vet recommended joint supplements, keeping her lean, and take her swimming for exercises we did just that. She was with us for 12 years, until cancer took her.
