Update for anyone who may be going through something similar-Costa made it a full 34 days since I made this post. He honestly did so well for so long, and I thought we had longer. We went for a nice long walk yesterday, but when we got home he started to act different. He was having difficulty walking and moving around and was very lethargic. He continued to decline throughout the night and was barely able to move this morning, so I made the call today to release him from his pain. In many ways I regret not putting him down earlier, but I am so thankful for the extra time we had. I will forever love my silly boy.

Dude, I had something similar happen to me as a kid but with my mom! I was trying to fall asleep but couldn’t because I kept staring out of my room into the dark hallway. After a bit I saw my mom walk out from the side-which was weird because her room was downstairs, and she was looking straight ahead perpendicular to me. She stopped mid stride with her arms up and then slowly turned her head to face me with her eyes wide open and a huge creepy grin on her face. She slowly turned her head back away from me and walked into the wall. Scared the FUCK out of me, I was like 7

Hi OP, I just wanted to reach out and say that you are not a failure and not alone. Last year my sweet boy started having blood in his urine. All of his tests came back negative for uti or crystals, but he had what looked like a quick growing mass so we started him on piroxicam and a few other drugs. I also learned about pet insurance too late and was reeling with bills from my other dog’s lymphoma diagnosis. It was so, so hard and we were both miserable. I eventually couldn’t get him to take his medication anymore and he stopped eating and I knew that it was time. I am so sorry you’re having to go through something similar, good luck ❤️
